Pretty much, and it goes for dumb people too. They usually don't produce Rhodes Scholars and Nobel Prize winners.Never heard that.

That bottom pic of the fireman with ice hanging off their helmets and on their turnout gear only happened to me once. We had a real cold night for our area in the low 20's and we were working a fire for over 2 hours before it was declared out and companies could leave the scene. Our company was the first on the scene and being the first, we were the last to leave.
The newspaper had a photographer on scene and got a pic of us with ice hanging off our helmets and gear. That was bad enough, but we were wet from fighting the fire and it was bone chilling cold being in that state once we were picking up our hoses and other gear. Adrenaline wears off and the elements grab your ass quickly.
