By the way, this fight is boring. Smith Jr. is just wanting to survive.
This is exactly what he did against Barrera, the commentators keep saying hes a warrior but hes a power puncher who is doing the shoulder roll and jabbing, its not going to get him the win so technically hes not trying

Bivol is hellbent on moving down. Says he eats prior to the weigh in, so he thinks he can make 168. He'd very likely dominate that division.

Not sure Bivol could beat Callum Smith, Bivol fights at the same pace the whole fight, when the opponent increases theirs Bivol doesnt know what to do, would favour Callum Smith to stop him, Smith would have a big height advantage

I think Bivol would beat Smith dominantly. Bivol has beaten better fighters. Groves was severely past it when he fought Smith (post-Cobrad and post-injury). Then, IIRC, he had a tough time with Skoglund. I go for Bivol all the way in that matchup.

Honestly, I have trouble thinking about a fighter that would trouble Bivol at 168.

I think Bivol's only losses would be at LHW to Beterbiev (50-50), Gvozdyk, or Kovalev.

Groves was still prime hes always had a bad chin though Smith would always stop him hes like 6 foot 3 and had a massive weight advantage, Bivol has not impressed once on his fight hes fights at the same pace and can be caught I dont think he can outbox Callum Smith for 12 the size difference would be to mouch

I just don't think Bivol has the power at 175 to beat the top fighters at 175. Idk if he xould beat Benavides, but he'd be a favorite against all the other guys.

There's no way he isn't over 175 on fight night so why eat before a weigh in if you're dehydrating. I'm sure he doesn't struggle with the weight but Canelo would have to dehydrate to make light heavy. If Bivol was genuinely having to eat to make it near 175 then he should be fighting at 160.

Who said he's dehydrating, though? From what I read, he follows a strict diet. Hell, he says he doesn't cut caloric intake during camp. He said he'll just have to diet earlier if he wants to make 168. He made no mention of weight cutting, so it could be possible that he doesn't even cut to make 175. Hell, it might even be possible that he wouldn't have to dehydrate to make 168.

He's not a big guy at all. In no way does he look like a LHW to me. He looks about the same size as Eubank Jr. and Jacobs.

I mean I'm just blowing smoke from my ass because I'm just considering what I've read and what he said tonight. There could be translation issues or he could be full of shit, but it sounds like he probably wakes up, eats, and makes weight for 175. Someone walking around at 175 could easily make 168, probably even 160 if he wanted. As you said, Canelo comes in at ~175-180 on fight night.

I take Bivol at his word because he's a lot smaller than Benavidez, Smith, and Ramirez. As I said, he does not look like he has the frame of a LHW.
