Been three years since we had this thread, so could be a fun one to start up again.

Whatever opinions you have that you consider controversial, post them up. Music, politics, sport, gaming, food, CHB... Any topic.

Shall I get started on how shit the Beatles were for anything other than White or Abbey Road? Boy band. One good musician in that band, and he played guitar. It wasn't John Lennon.

I could also mention how the Kinks kicked the cunt out of them. Village Green was better than absolutely anything the Beatles did.

Floyd is one of the top 10 boxers in history based on talent/ability meshed with achievements. Others had better achievements with less ability, others may have had a slightly higher ability but not the achievements. In terms of a combination of both, he's top 10 for me. Guy had a gift and drive that few will ever come close to matching.

I liked arguing with Bogotazo and friends. But I know they didn't feel the same.

But it was never personal for me. It was heated debate and I'll be honest too.....interesting and entertaining.

Unrelated. I also would like to see the death penalty returned.

And mass immigration has no net benefit. It only has a net benefit when liberals selectively pull stats to suit their agenda. On a street level it's clearly a failure and mellenials championing it are chickens voting for the fox to guard the hen house because only a retard would take 300k official immigrants a year, subtract a pitiful home build number, apply welfare drain and then be too stupid to understand why the NHS is at breaking point and they'll be renting...every.....day....for...the ...rest...of...their ...naïve....natural......lives......

Yeah.....I think that's it for now ;)

Leading from the above I'd love to see a return to Roman times gladiatorial combat with people getting the chance to win their prison freedom. Non criminal combatants could enter but they just sign watertight wavers to any prevent suing.

Number of kids a couple can have should be connected to earning power.

Sterilisation of men / women who have x amount kids with x different partners.

Earnings wise top 10 for sure. Not sure for achievement or ability.

He one of those guys who for me don't pass the "pick up and drop" test. I can't see him having same level of success in previous eras.

I think earnings wise he is far and away the #1, and by a distance.

It's hard to say, he has the natural talent that few people have ever had, and his dedication to his craft turned him into a boxer that no one in his era could beat. Yet would he still be able to do that in an era of fighting 10-20 times a year? In theory, he'd beat all the 'filler' fighters easily enough, but the wear and tear accumulated (he had hand issues etc.) means he could've struggled against the ATG's in the midst of that, where he'd be much better with rest/training camps between them.

I do think his ability is close to the very top though, his understanding of fighting in the ring is ridiculous.

Agreed. I think his "natural" talent was a bit like RJJ though, more do with insane amount if training from young age.

I too think his hands wouldn't of held up in the past and that would of affected his ability to entertain fight fans = likely never becoming a draw (aka no Oscar fight)
