On a lighter note, who uses the mail order companies for ale? I used flavourly.com for some time, they were okay, but they mainly dealt with canned beers. If I'm drinking at home I want bottles.

I recall a few years ago my local Morrisons used to have a superb range of 3 for £5 bottled beers, spent a load of money in that place.

Maybe just leaving them in peace is the best thing you can do.

Folk usually just want to move on with their lives.
I think a day apologising to her for treating her like shit so often would ease some of my pain, but considering she hates me now there's more chance of finding Lord Lucan. Although I don't have a religious bone in my body I guess it's God's way of telling me I'm a cunt.

Ah well...

No. I usually just go to the supermarket. If I want something fancy thenthere are craft beer shops nearby, some of whom deliver.

I'm not a huge drinker anymore anyway. Used to be a big binge drinker in my twenties. Prefer a few jars in a quiet pub now, or a couple of good quality beers at home.

I rarely get drunk anymore.

I'm a firm believer that pubs are wonderful places, not just for ale, but for conversation. I can't go in a pub alone and people watch, I have to have a distraction - usually a paper or magazine. I know for a fact I'll get talking to someone before long. Prince Charles once called the pub 'a social hub'. For all his wrongs he got one thing right. Nothing beats going to a new place and finding a new pub.

Special announcement: found one of these FINALLY (but still can't pronounce it):

What is it?

Looks like some kind of German or Belgian dark beer?

I struggle with anything too dark, (no racist) . Just doesn't suit my tastebuds.

I've had a few of these coffee flavoured beers lately, BrewDog Roaster Coaster was the last one I had and I really like them.

I enjoy them but I can't session any of those craft beers, if I'm having a few beers on a Saturday night on COD, I'll tend to go with Innes and Gunn Lager and then buy 2 craft type beers to break it up.

I've went a bit protectionist lately and try to buy firstly from Scottish brewers.
