one of the weirdest films i ve ever seen, but instant classic. cop comes into town where everybody has gone bonkers to investigate the disappearence of a little girl... and wow, what a great idea for a film, script, acting, everything is just perfect, christopher lee's acting is hillarious, he even himself said it was the best film of his acting career.the ending was sad as fuck, shocking but i loved it
The ending of that left me stunned when I first saw it.

Hellraiser is a shit show of a film. Probably the worst film I'v seen in a decade. The only redeeming feature is the effects. It has the worst acting and plot ever put on film.
Never seen any of them tbh, although the original Pinhead is a truly striking creation. By Hellraiser 9 things had apparently gone somewhat awry though...

Monos (2019)

spanish language
drama/thriller about a group of child soldiers charged with holding a foreign hostage for their militia known as the organisation.

its a beautifully shot, ambitious and arty film.

the cinematography was the best part of the film, some of the writing let it down overall.

Worth a look

The Addams Family

An ok comedy in which a lawyer and a loan shark plane on ripping off the creepy family by using the loan sharks adopted son to pose as long lost relative Fester. I enjoyed it more as a kid and kids probably will still love it.

Videodrome

Another classic Cronenberg film in which James Woods stars as the president of a small television station who stumbles upon a signal broadcasting torture and murder and he begins to lose touch with reality the more he watches it. Great film.

Brighton Rock

Classic British crime thriller starring Richard Attenborough as a violent gang member who thinks he's got away with murder when the police rule a mans death as either a heart attack or suicide however a nosy old biddy is determined to find out the truth.

Crash

Yes more Cronenberg and for me his finest work starring James Spader as a man who is involved in a car accident and becomes involved with a sub-culture of other crash survivors who are sexually aroused by car crashes.

Fast Company

The most un-Cronenberg, Cronenberg film about a washed up drag racer trying to stay relevant, it's fun and John Saxon steals the show as the sleazy team boss.

Twilight Eclipse

The most enjoyable of this series so far but still crap, I don't care for the characters, Edward is such a whiny bitch, Bella should go off with the wolfman.

Singles

Good little romantic comedy about a bunch of people who live in the same apartment complex and their love lives.

Death Laid an Egg (1968)

Ever wondered when the quest to find the lewdest Giallo set around a modern chicken farm will ever end, look no mo': Giulio Questi's perversely entertaining crime thriller has all the eggs in one basket. Marco's (Jean-Louis Trintignant plays the little man as always) married into money with the nice looking Anna (Gina Lollobrigida), but keeps the young hot secretary (Ewa Aulin) as a lover who also has Anna's attention. Marco also tortures and kills whores on the side while the secretary looks to kill the goose that lays the golden egg, so to speak. With enough twists and kinks to entertain the B-movie crowd, this is pure 60s Italian entertainment that comes RECOMMENDED.

New Mutants - Disappointing to say the least, trailer looked good, made it out that this would be a marvel film with a horror theme but the bad reviews turned out to be valid. The trailer was scarier than the actual film itself, as a horror film this was a resounding failure, no tension at all, the director didn't have a clue on how to build towards a scare.

The script for this was weak, story is predictable and mundane, so run of the mill. The characters are OK I guess but I couldn't help feeling the whole thing was poorly executed. Ironically in the background they had the TV show Buffy the vampire slayer playing in a couple of scenes which clearly the director used as inspiration such as the smiling face men clearly influenced by The Gentlemen in the Buffy episode Hush. But all this did was show you how poorly this film had portrayed similar characters compared to Buffy.

It's a shame the whole Marvel/Horror film idea was a good one, something that could of sparked new interest in the X-Men series after the failure of Dark Phoenix. They had a decent cast with Charlie Heaton from Stranger Things, Anya Taylor-Joy from The Witch, Split and Queens Gambit and of course Masie Williams from GOT. But they had little to work with here.

The overall plot was weak as hell. The whole overcome your own fears storyline has been done many times before and done better and honestly not sure why they went with Danielle Moonstar's story as the main plot which resulted in them having the stupid giant bear as the big bad threat, when Illyana Rasputin;s character seemed to have a far scarier and disturbing back story.

Not the worst film I've seen, still better than Dark Phoenix. But overall really forgettable.

Addams Family Values

An improvement on the first film as a female serial killer known as the Black Widow seduces and marries Fester in an attempt to grab his money.

Ms .45

A brilliant exploitation thriller directed by Abel Ferrera, a mute seamstress is raped on her way home from work and when she gets home she interrupts a burglar who also rapes her however she gets the upper hand and bludgeons him to death and dismembers his body and uses his gun to go on a crazed rampage around New York.

Ms .45 is the best no-budget and rape and revenge flick I know of. Fantastic performance by Zoë Lund and great use of practically amateur sets and settings.
