Raymond van Barneveld gets his new tour card

May 17, 2013
Barney decided being retired was not to his liking and wanted to get back on the PDC tour, but had to go through Q-School to earn his tour card and recently did that. He can participate in PDC tournaments once again, but just what version of Barney will show up is anyone's guess. Is it going to be the confident, determined Barney or the bobble head Barney of the last several years who capitulated more than buckled down when things got tough at the oche???? Only time will tell.

As an American, I'm glad to see Danny Baggish earned his tour card and along with the 35K Pounds he earned from his recent World Championship run, he will have some seed money to try his hand on the biggest stages of his darting career. It's going to be tough on him though with being a married man with a child back home in the States, but I'm pretty sure he'll remain in England for as long as he can to play darts at the highest pro level and see if he can make a good enough living to maintain 2 homes--------as long as the money and his marriage holds out.

Australian Kyle Anderson recently gave up his tour card after living in England for around a year or more to be home with his wife and young child. The separation was too much in the end and he chose family over the tour. So, if he decides to try it again, he too will have to go to Q-School to earn his tour card to participate.
