has that ever really happened?

Race related attacks have happened. I don't want that to escalate in to something more or to reach the level that
I live in Reading. The Forbury is in the old Abbey grounds, it's a small park near the centre of town, very popular with families, and always very busy on a sunny early evening.

Today much of town is closed. I have young kids, and don't want to have to explain to them what has happened. I don't want them knowing yet that there can be people who do things like this, living in the same town as they do. So when we had to drive over to the other side of Reading today, I took a really long route round so that the wouldn't see the press helicopters or police vans cordoning off whole swathes of town.

Genuinely shocked. You read and understand that these things happen, of course, but they still don't feel truly real in a way. And then one happens in your town.

You'll be surprised how quickly it is forgotten. Although I'm not sure of the problems that already exist in the city with Islam. We had a muslim woman run round Barnsley trying to kill people last year one morning. Luckily no one died. It put people like myself off going in for a short while, but then it goes back to normal so I now go in with my young uns with no thought of a murdering scum bag on the loose.

has "the far right" retaliated "with blood" to any of the multiple, recent Islamic terror attacks?

I'm not really worried about murdering scum bags. There has been one incident here, over the past however many decades this has been a thing, and three people have died out of the millions who have lived and worked here over that period. The odds of being absolutely fine forever are overwhelming.

I just don't want the kids knowing this is something that can happen, because they won't understand that.

It's more brought home having to explain to small kids why armed police are walking the streets. I've got a 5 year old boy so he thinks it is cool, then he asks why they are here and it is a difficult thing to explain if you want to tell the truth.

The UK really is a great place to be an Islamic groomer-paedo or wannabe jihadi. Police give zero fucks.

But say a trans woman is a man and they’ll be kicking your front door in.

Reading attack suspect's 'brother' says he is 'not a terrorist' and was arrested because UK is 'racist'
  • 'F*** England,' says man claiming to be Reading terror attack suspect's brother
  • Khairi Saadallah is accused of stabbing three people to death on Saturday night
  • Mo Saadallah says he 'defended himself' before adding 'freedom for my brother'
A man claiming to be the brother of Reading terror attack suspect Khari Saadallah has claimed his brother 'defended himself,' adding that the UK was 'racist'.

In a series of Facebook posts since Saturday night's vicious attack, which left three people dead and three more injured, Mo Saadallah has responded to news and written 'f*** England'.

His younger sister has also passionately defended Saadallah after his arrest.

History teacher James Furlong, David Wails, and American born Joe Ritchie-Bennett have been named as the three victims who were killed during the rampage in Forbury Gardens on Saturday night.

Responding to a Sky News post revealing the attack was being treated as terror related, Mo Saadallah wrote: 'This is not true. Khairi defended himself ... racist countries. Freedom for my brother Before !!'

On Sunday he posted: 'We are not terrois (sic) and f*** England. #The_kingdom_of_racism'.

The suspect's youngest sister has also defended him on social media.

She wrote: 'First, my condolences to the families, I'm really sorry for them. This is the third day and we can't keep silent to the people 'who don't know Khairi Saadallah.

'He moved to the UK 10 years ago as a 16-year-old teenager and he started to study and release his wings with volunteer work because he has a history of volunteering in Libya during the revolution.

'He really has a history of mental illness from the revolution, the death of relatives and the difficult situation in the country.

'But the question is, does the terrorist enjoy tattoos? Does the terrorist wear casual clothes? Does the terrorist have girlfriends and live a normal western life?

'And about the beard, we all know about coronavirus and he can't shave by himself.

'We've all seen the video of his arrest. He did not defend himself or fight back as the officers arrested him and he was guided to the van by the authorities.

If these two aren't on a watchlist now, they should be.

Okay, and we hate you too.

Ummm...Yea

It's not legal to beat your wife here..... Woman can own guns, women can vote.... This has nothing to do with our gun laws and it's not comparable.

Well Gays here can own guns and can get married and do what ever they want without being executed.

I don't live there.... Don't ever want to live there... Whatever fucked up culture they have is their problem... Americans don't bitch and complain about other countries the way foreigners like you bitch about ours.

What are you gonna do about?

Oh here we go..... are you another one of these foreigners who thinks our Democrats are the "Good guys"? Obama and Clinton were no better pal, our politicians are idiots and our two parties are toxic and both full of shit.

Ok, and the actual politicians did no better.

We are not a normal nation....

Convince your lame ass country to do something about it then.... We will wipe you off the face of the Earth.

If I have terminal cancer I will kill some yanks in my nation...
They arrest me and because I am terminal they release me within a week...

We're far too soft on criminals in this country

One out of every four prisoners on planet Earth is imprisoned in the United States. You have about 4% of the earth's population, but 25% of its prisoners.

How many more millions of Americans need to be locked up before you are satisfied that you are no longer "far too soft on criminals"?

Would 30% of the entire planet's total prison population do it?

50%?

65%?

Couple more facts for @Jack about your undersized prison population.

* Over the last 40 years, the American inmate population of jails and prisons has increased by 500%.

* There are now more people incarcerated for drug offences alone than there were people incarcerated in total in 1980.

* Over 3,000 Americans are serving sentences of life without parole for non-violent offenses.

I always thought he was too, but he seems to talk like an American and refer to "our" prison population and such...... maybe I'm wrong again. Wouldn't be the first time. :conf
