Burns stopped the legendary Scott Cardle last time out so I can understand why he has a title eliminator, but Linares was wiped out in one round and gets the same reward? :verysad

Not sure.

If Loma beats Campbell and Commbey the belts could all be vacant by next spring.

Burns beats Linares and he is in with a great shout of becoming champion again
Do you think he will beat Linares though. Linares only really loses to guys who can punch a little bit, Ricky isn't really known for that. It will be good fight though definitely 12 rounds.

Burns is a monstrous puncher did you see what he did to Cardle? Haha

But I give him a chance mate of course logic would lean towards Linares but who knows how the last defeat affected him.

A big step up from the usual sky Saturday night shows. Two likeable, 3 weight world champs, both well known in the UK, and both with a good amount of entertaining fights in their back catalogue.

Both are past their sell by date, but often the best fights to watch come when you get two guys who have slipped. The chance at a final world title shot should spur them on too.

Would like to see Burns win, but his lack of punch power should allow Linares to overcome his frailties and pick up the decision. Home cooking aside that is.
