Rest in peace to the great man. He fought the good fight the best he knew how.
No.

He started out fighting "the good fight" but was corrupted by power.

He began as a a Nelson Mandel-like figure and finished up more like an Idi Amin.

He ws responsible for the deaths of tens (maybe hundreds) of thousands of his fellow country men and women and left his country in a complete shambles. His final three decades of dictatorial rule ranks with the worst despots and tyrants of the past century.

Put the villainous white famers and landlords to the sword and liberated the land, so that it may be shared among the poor, huddled Zanu yearning to breathe free!

Rest softly in peace , Colossus of Africa!

Nelson Mandela post prison was a docile puppet who was more interested in his celebrity than actually distablising the racist institution left by apartheid.

I think that pretty much puts an end to the leaders of African independence. I can’t think of any others who are still living.

What would you have preferred he did?

Would you be in support of someone like Malema getting power in S.Africa?

One bead of sweat on Mandela's nut sack was worth more than all of Mugabe.

Joshua Nkomo had the leadership of Zimbabwe stolen from him by that genocidal megalomaniac.

The irony of your remark...

Mandela was interested in repairing the apartheid regime he inherited and making things better for his people.

Mugabe was only interested in HIMSELF.
