I just watched it. It was good, but it was so awkward trying to believe DeNiro was in his late 30s for the first half of the movie. I would think they could’ve digitally altered him or something. Even Pachino was ridiculously older looking than Hoffa. I would’ve preferred that they hand the reigns to Stephen Graham (Pro/Al Capone) to be the star.

they did digitally alter both deniro and pacino - deniro for his younger scenes and pacino for the entire movie.

Goddamn Daniro looks like he's got lionitis. For fuck's sake you can see the arthritis in his fucking hands. Goddamn Pesci look like gollum in the flashbacks. What stupid fucks thought...yea this technology is ready to apply to the faces of old as fuck legends...Oscar winners... What in the holy fuck?

I'm really trying with this movie because it is a relatively well written and acted. Fucking Daniro's arms are more liver spots than skin though while he's supposed to be young.

The movie would have been significantly worse if they had have had more fight scenes and that. I mean the one fight scene in the grocery store was terrible looking. The kicks in particular. All the great acting in the world ain't gonna make De Niro move like he isn't a 76 year old man and that ain't a knock on him it just is what it is.
Yeah did the de ageing technology make them forget about the old stunt double technology, that was bizarre. It reminded me of the "fight" scene in mean streets that Ive never understood either, Scorsese is amazing so what is it with these weird terrible looking fight scenes am I missing something?

I enjoyed the film anyway, opening 40 mins or so didnt particularly grab me but was loving it by the end. Prison bowling Joe Pesci was incredible.

Full scene.

Grocer breaks the glass by touching it too. This is so bad it's delicious.
Goddamn, that's horrific. Like, laughable. The breaking glass...... it makes it ridiculous. Like a Leslie Nielson comedy.

They should have had Deniro throw punches at the guy instead of kicking him. "Grudge match" was just a couple of years ago and Deniro looked like he could throw punches well enough. I'm sure that would have looked a lot better than his kicks.
