It is very difficult to be objective about things you have never seen and by your own admission you haven't seen much. Even though you plainly have disillusions of grandeur and think you know everything. Listen more and speak less and you will improve your boxing knowledge and sound like less of a twat at the same time.
Do you think I haven’t seen all the big fights from the 60s, 70s, 80s? When I first got into boxing and I didn’t know much about the sport I worshipped the old timers. Then I learned more about the sport and realised how lacklustre they were. Maybe I’m just capable of learning, while you keep your ignorance and rose tinted glasses on?
I’ve asked you to explain how boxing used to be better, and instead of saying anything it was just an ad hominem attack. That says everything, you should humble yourself and follow your own advice here you fool.
You don’t even know the word ‘delusions’ ffs. As if I’m going to listen to someone as obviously dumb as you.

I started watching in the 90s, Roy Jones, Whitaker and Toney were my favourites. Guess what, boxing today is so much better than even just then, never mind 70s, 60s etc.
It's a human tendency to argue that the era you saw is the best ever. You just haven't seen that much that's all.

Go watch the Leonard/Hearns/Hagler/Duran series of fights and other great fights before your time, before further embarrassing yourself.

I’ve seen those fights multiple times. The only person who is embarrassing themselves here is you, you’re yet to state a single point in favour of something you think is self-evident. Pathetic.

You have so much to learn grasshopper. But it is not my job to teach you.

Taking into account all the conditions which were forced on me … it was impossible to win that fight. Impossible to be in the shape which would allow me to beat this little wild-boar (Canelo). So, all those who believed, who bet money on me in order to get rich – greed got the best of you. And I can say it safely that you’re laymen/ignoramuses in this sport. … I was struggling to lose weight! It took me a lot of pain and sleepless nights (to make 175). … But financially I just couldn’t refuse the offer… Canelo, or rather his team, calculated it perfectly – in fact, I had two training camps for Yarde, my body was at its limits. … I’m surprised I was able to last till 11th round. After the 7th I was running on fumes. … And I made a mistake, I blame myself for it now. At first I was putting my weight on my backfoot, and Canelo was unable to hit me. Initially almost all his punches missed or barely scratched me. But when I raised my hands to my head, he caught me with a left hook. And then with the right hand… It was a dumb mistake. But it was their plan – that I would get tired and start making mistakes.
