I agree. He was good at switching head to body, but he left himself open to the counter, which from a big heavyweight, would be very dangerous. This opponent was basically a cruiserweight, which allowed him mistakes that he wouldn't get away with against a good heavy, mind you. he's very young and has plenty time to learn.

He showed some pop. Not sure how much the hand injury played into it but I think he's going to always be more of an accumulation puncher rather than a bloke who'll hurt you with 1 punch.

That's my take-away from this latest fight. He does have some pop and has stopped 8 of his 14 opponents, so the power is there, just not that 1 punch explosive power.

Once he took control of the action, it was all one sided though with great body work and not just head hunting. To me, that's the mark of a pretty complete fighter-------work the head and body both and have great defensive skills to avoid punishment.

Robeisy won again. I do NOT at all like how he's dropping his right hand when throwing the left. Recipe for disaster. Casamayor did the same vs Corrales and it cost him.

Maybe he was just so confident he was in control he was careless? Still not a good habit to get into though.

If Robeisy keeps winning and gets some credible wins there will for sure be talk of a pro rematch with him and Shakur.
Shakur is without a doubt sharp enough these days to make him pay for that. Mick Conlan would also likely take advantage of that.

That said though, I hope Robeisy keeps winning and improving. It makes for interesting viewing having the amateur rivalry between him, Shakur and Mick all move into the pros.

Robeisy showing some solid power there as well. Though like you said, may just be relevant to the competition level
