I know I'm literally judging a book by its cover, but that looks poxy as fuck.
Yep. Was a Christmas gift. Actually pretty good so far, though. And it doesn't have size 16 typeface either, which is good.

Pretty good so far? You should've finished it between your first post and this one given you're a speed-reading extraordinaire. How fast did you claim to be able to read at - 2,000 words per minute upside down or some shit? Ever finish Fire and Fury or did you lose interest after getting 13% of the way through?

Let's be honest - between working and sleeping on the job, cosplaying on weekends, playing girly card games nightly before dinner and jerking off your dog every other day, you have no time to pick up a book let alone finish one. And even if you could, you're too lazy to read and finish a book. Stop being a fraud.

I heard about this years ago, but was never able to find a copy. Always seemed like one of the most sinister of the mobsters.

It's called soulguard, haven't read far enough to say if it's any good yet, literally found it through a meme with a quote from one of the characters that I liked.

Currently 1/2 way through 'The Stranger Beside Me' by Ann Rule.

It runs about 500 pages.

For those unfamiliar, Rule worked with and knew on a social basis, notorious serial killer Ted Bundy, before he started committing his crimes. They remained in contact while Bundy was incarcerated, through his 2 escapes, and through his trials.

Many rate this the best true crime book ever written and l can see why.

Started reading this again after 30+ years. It get tougher once you're about a chapter and a half in.

S.L. Macgregor Mathers and Aliester Crawley were two very interesting individuals for their time.

Killer's Wedge by Ed McBain

18 chapters, 140 odd pages, short and sweet. A widow takes the squad room hostage with nitroglycerine as she waits for one particular police officer to return in order to shoot him. It's a tense race against time as the cops taken hostage have to find a solution before it's too late. Stands up better than the modern shit published nowadays.
