Pretty sure Spence matches up far better stylistically with Garcia than Porter and Thurman ever did. It's not a bad fight, honestly. Unlike Porter/Thurman fights where I thought Garcia would lose wide, I think Garcia/Spence could end up a close fight. I mean Porter/Thurman ended up being somewhat close.

I like both fighters, but can do without Garcia's overbearing father at times. That aside, I like Spence in this one but not sure how it ends. Spence has the power to KO anyone at that weight but Garcia has never been stopped in his only 2 losses.

I'll go out on a limb and say Spence by TKO late in the fight---------and that's how I voted.

I'm interested in seeing how Spence performs. He admits he was blowing up in between fights which means not taking those opponents serious (Mikey Garcia and Shawn Porter).

Ah, pulling the old "Roberto Duran in between fights training schedule". When he was fighting welterweight, he'd often blow up to around 180 between fights and have to train down to welter.

Just to add this: The fact Ray Leonard's people wanted an immediate rematch is not lost on most boxing fans. They knew Duran blew up big time between fights, gorging himself on food he couldn't eat when training and he was also a pretty heavy drinker by many accounts. Their second fight was just over 5 months from the first when Duran won in Montreal.

I went to the Superdome in New Orleans to watch Duran train when the second fight was held here and he did look fit, especially when he was doing his rope skipping routine. That guy could skip rope like no other I'd ever seen.

I was out of town when they fought, or I would have been at the Dome.

I just can't ever get past the Herrera robbery, so -

"Knock 'im into Tuesday, Errol !" :bbb

Plus, you know, if an open-top Ferrari at 100+ mph couldn't kill the Spence, what's Swishy gonna' do to him?

I really need to take a look at him post the crash to call it confidently, if there was no crash I'd be picking ESJ but there was a crash and we haven't seen him since and DSG isn't the dude to be trying things out on and checking if everything's still OK with your hands, reflexes, punch resistance etc. a tune up would have been perfectly fine first, this macho stuff could cost him his belts and DSG risks not getting full credit too if he pulls it out
