A good Scottish one is ally mccoist acting alongside Robert Duvvall.

Mccoist, who scored off the field almost as much as he did on it, romances Duvall's daughter in it.

I didn't know that massive dude, Luca Brasi was a wrestler. That's awesome! I guess I've seen more movies with pro wrestlers than I though. I also know Edge, but I think he's only played on TV series, not movies. Oh, I also forget that you can probably get a lot from that Adam Sandler movie: Goldberg, The Great Khali, Kevin Nash... nevermind. Not seen it in so long.

For a second, I got confused with Oddjob and Jaws for some reason. Instantly thought Jaws when you mentioned it.

Without using google didn't Ray Mancini do some film work? Or did I dream that up?

I just saw an uncredited Larry Csonka in multiple dialogue scenes as Cmdr. Delaney in the 1976 A-list epic Midway. (I also saw it in a crowded New England cinema at the time. Although he wasn't identified in the credits, he was famous enough that the Patriots fans in the audience instantly recognized their familiar tormentor with audible booing, the same boos they unloaded when Simpson was seen in The Towering Inferno.)

Most prominent NFL players today are also members of SAG-AFTRA.

During their careers, Red Grange, Sammy Baugh and Otto Graham all had starring movie roles, significant in their eras.

Pro rasslin' sure had a lot in the movies, as has the NFL. Boxing? Basketball? Baseball? Soccer? Rugby? Swimming? Tennis?

What would the 10 biggest sports stars/Hollywood stars look like from each sport?

Hell, been a TON of pro rasslers in the movies, what......50?
There have been so many that a better question might be which star athletes later became more famous for acting than sports. 1971 Heisman runner-up and two time SB participant Ed Marinaro became so famous as Joe Coffey in Hill Street Blues that his gridiron career was forgotten. This also happened with Fred "The Hammer" Williamson (but not Jim Brown, although he even got top billing over the likes of Burt Reynolds, Raquel Welch, Gene Hackman, Fredric March, Lee Von Cleef, Diahann Carroll, Julie Harris and Ernest Borgnine in some box office successes0.

Bodybuilders like Steve Reeves and Reg Park had been in the movies, but Schwarzenegger's box office success buried his bodybuilding career. (Park was Arnold's idol.)

I doubt most knew about Marinaro as a footballer if talking Joe Public.

Same can be said about Fred "The Hammer" Williamson, and Carl Weathers and Bernie Casey.

Don't think any of the bodybuilder actors were forgotten as bodybuilders since they all played musclemen roles. Arnold so big in that sport he never escaped it, even as an old timer now. Same with Jim Brown.

There are a slew of old pro rasslers like Mike Mazurki, where it's.......he was a rassler?

So NONE of you fuckers have mentioned WOODY STRODE, probably the most famous and recognizable athlete-turned-actor of all time??

The main character in Toy Story is named after him, FFS!

I have mentioned Strode before but as a pro rassler.

His UCLA story with Kenny Washington very interesting.
