Brit/Ire Spurious endorsement

  • CHB will be closing down as of 31st July 2021. It's been a brilliant experience to run the website for the past 9 years, however it's time for me to move onto different projects. Thanks to every single person involved, from staff, former staff, posters old and current. All support means more than anyone knows. Thanks for your understanding.

I came across this unintentionally amusing article in an in-flight mag. It's supposed to be a rotation feature on what various high profile travellers like to pack when going away. The ad for the Klitschko fight at the bottom wasn't quite enough for Brand AJ so they used it as an opportunity to plug the usual endorsements, and IMO it's transparent insincerity ("staying hydrated is key to my performance.."/ "looking and smelling good is important...") makes it horribly brilliant for all the wrong reasons

Please post examples of out-of-place endorsement or thinly-veiled corporate whoring

What are the odds that not only did AJ not write this, but that he's also not even read it?

6 out of 8 essentials happen to be brands that pay him. Like cool, do what you need to get that paper. But FFS like you say its so transparent. Have some sort of personality please. Even the book sounds shit.

So AJ is signing his own gloves nowadays. Ok.

Not to mention wearing a polo shirt and cap with his name on it.

If ever there was a candidate for someone who most probably wanks himself off while looking into a mirror...
