It's most probably better too from another POV: Analyzing the chart calmly beforehand -without any emotions attached such as FOMO or fear- allows the trade to come to you instead of chasing candles.
At this point, it's become more of "let's see if it happens again while I'm away."

@Mexi-Box of course the RSI works - it's one of - if not the most used oscillator there is, along with the MACD, OBV and BB's.

MACD saved me from not putting money and getting out with a slight profit in $USWS. MACD was about to cross, which looking at the pattern, spells doom for that ticker. Dropped to 0.30 and bounced back. Learning more and more about chart reading.

What exactly are you trying to buy that is so extremely volatile and elusive that when you return from the bathroom it left your buy area? It doesn't add up. Nothing goes up 100% in 15 minutes.

There usually like $3-$5 moves (sometimes more) so while they're not huge gains as far as overall share price, as someone who scalps options, those are really good returns for being in and out of a trade in a matter of minutes.

Ah I see. So what % move are you looking at then, 1-2%?

Generally. I like to trade mid to large cap stocks so I have a watchlist of around 10-12? I think that I like to narrow down to 3 or 4 every morning.
Options are beyond my pay grade tbh. Risk metrics with the theta, gamma and delta shit is way above my head haha.

Haha I was very intimidated at first because of just how quickly you could lose capital but it's also what attracted me. It's been pretty cool to see how that sort of discipline has bled into everyday life tho. I'm far from what I would consider a real options trader. There's so many aspects to it, when you consider how many ways there are to trade options. That's when it gets crazy. But I noticed how much more I took an active interest than when I was trading penny stocks. Seems that's where at lot of people start.

Pharma stock is back to gains! GAINS! Vaccine play is now being streamlined with a collaboration. I"m holding till I see SRNE-like gains.

Are you in Moderna?
Ah, fuck it. Called OGEN. They were a probiotic company but just acquired a vaccine. In collaborations with another company to streamline the process and get it out to market faster. P1 trials set for either December or early Q1. It's the one that collapsed on me since they failed a P2 trial.

Guess what, I had 2 shares of Moderna. They were the first 500 I invested, and I sold them for a loss!!!!! I mean it wouldn't have been huge, but I could've gotten at least 60 or so from it. :(

My friend told me to fucking go all in on Moderna back in March too! He works on West Nile Virus, so I should've taken his advice.

LK Opened at ~2 . Well, it's worth it to at least wait for ER on the 27th. Sell the hype there if possible. We'll see what happens, but pretty much ready to lose it all. Also, fuck me, sold KTOV too early. I was going in and out since they're a dilution machine :patsch.

Sold 926 BORR @ 0.85
786.97

Bought 926 BORR @ 0.515
-476.89

Record best trade so far! Fucking 300!!!! I mean I could've easily done more in AYTU and OGEN, but that's all hindsight. RSI fucking works!

Averaged down in LK. Luckily (get it!) I have a low average. Bought more at 2.059, giving me 300 shares. Looking to swing trade it now, not hold anymore hoping to get rich. Hoping to get out next pump to $3/4. I'm sure it'll get a pump during the 45-day lead up to the NASDAQ hearing. Risky move, but I'm playing with house money now with that nice flip from BORR.

If I can flip LK, I'm going to consider myself a master trader!

Bought 150 LK @ 2.059

Oh, I kind of cheated by the way. I added more money as I got paid, bringing me up to $8000 total input. I feel comfortable at this point not adding any more money.

$8,363.98 Position total because OGEN has been experiencing a rally. Losing big with SONN and LK, though. Almost $800 in both! AYTU losing $100, and fuck me, I should've sold when I was up $300 on their very impressive ER. I thought we'd no longer see 1.40 but here we are!

Uh, last fucking time I ever fucking do partial sells. I'm such a fucking idiot. This morning, I did a partial sell of LK at 2.00, and I didn't fucking close the other partial sell I had at 1.80. Then it filled twice, and i was like, wtf. Then my average was crazily at 2.12, so I thought I sold all of my LK for a profit at 2.25. Fuck me, I'm a damn fool. Took an enormous loss. Easily, if I didn't do all those partial sells, I could've sold at a small gain. IIRC, my average was at like 2.30 from averaging down.

-450.88 :sad

$8,353.94

Still up, though, thankfully. Mark that down as something that doesn't work. Your numbers get all screwy. Warren Buffet also said he never lowers his position, he dumps everything at once. This is why. You're half asleep trying to trade, and this is what fucking happens!

Going to go in again if LK hits 1.00 to get back my money!

Moderna is the bane of my life.

Had about £8,000 worth of shares at $48 a share. Had them for 3-4 weeks and most of the time I was losing money on that.

Then overnight they shot up to $53 a share. This was irregular at the time, but not unknown for the pharmaceuticals to have a spike. So I sold for a £1,000 profit and thought I would reinvest when the price dropped to it usual 46-48 dollar range.

For about a week or more the price never stopped rising until it topped 80$ a share. It made me feel fucking sick.

Then the bubble burst a week or two later. It was in free fall. I remember it collapsed 10 dollars after opening, dropping a dollar a minute after that. I had to go into a basement to do some work, and I was in 2 minds whether to plow some money when it sunk into 46-47 dollars a share. But the price was still all over the place so dramatically it put me off. I had visions of it going down to thirty dollars or something. I thought i would leave it a while to settle down and think about it in a few hours. By that time I came back up to get phone signal, a few hours later, it was back up to $57 a share.

If I had a pair of balls I could have made £3,000 profit or more if I had backed my instincts there and then, and sold 2 hours later.

Now it is about 60$ a share. Why it jumped up to 80 dollars a share like it did, god only knows.

Also check out NIO folks. I bought 5 shares just to gauge it about a month ago. Those shares are up 80% now, and still rising like an air balloon. I am scared to go in heavy now incase it drops, but obviously want to kill myself for not going in more substantial when I had the chance.

Kicking myself for selling LK at all. Uh, I could've gotten a gigantic profit when it hit $6!

Anyways, I did what I thought impossible. Flipped $TOPS for $100 profit! That was a brutal ass hold. Went to .12 several times. If I had more than $200 in that one, I'd have probably sold for a loss.

Pissed that I ever sold RIG and BORR. Those fucking flew!!!! Still have TTI, but I'm sitting around a lower price it was when I didn't sell. Should've sold TTI and kept RIG and BORR.

Past 2-3 weeks or so have been fucking horrible for my portfolio. Sitting at a pretty solid gain now, though.

$8,679.88

I don't have anymore penny stock ideas. They're all in overbought territory with the market rally. Going to have to wait for another crash, which might or might not come. Going to stick my $300 into CPHI if it is still negative for me. That one does funky shit. Runs to 0.8/0.5 randomly.

If you want a somewhat sure thing, buy CPHI <.43 and SONN <4.00. I've been in both and seeing somewhat of a pattern. Also, AYTU <=1.40 seems pretty safe. Just, it's going to be a swing stock until they actually sell their warehouse of tests. I was thinking that AYTU was going to become a shit stock since COVID-19 seems to have been going away. I think the protests might make this more necessary than ever!
