Injuries and experience reshaped his game multiple times over the years, different Nole in 2008, 2011, 2014 and 2019. Dunno if he's the GOAT just yet, but he's definitely the biggest loser of all time meaning no other player in the history learnt and recovered from stunning, heartbreaking losses as fast and as well adjusted as he did.

Take the Cecchinato's great upset at 2018 Roland Garros, Djokovic took a hike to the old rusty Summer practice court of his youth in Serbia and Fognini said has was considering retirement. Came back few days later and beat Rafa in that nerve wrecking Wimbledon classic. I was on a rowing trip in the local backwoods with barely any internet between villages, and somehow captured the 5th set on my phone while standing in the mud and and the Sun burning me to a crisp. Shit was tense. And a little painful.
That, and the removal of gluten from his diet.

Lol, Zverev will meet Kyrgios Mid-July at a Berlin invitational event on grass, with 800ish spectators and strict distancing, which is sensible after Adria Tour. The those had quite the exchange over the last few days tho Nick is tearing one into Becker too, plus others. Thiem is also playing.

Settled to watch the Wimbledon replacement programme last night and amongst all the legendary matches of the past, they had a section on Coco Gough. What a fucking surprise.

Hopefully Sasha destroys Nick. I find Nick extremely unlikable. That shit he said to Stan about Thanasi fucking his missus was fucking crass and doesn't belong in a sport like tennis. The guy's lazy and with a loser's mentality. Doesn't try so internally he's got an excuse for losing. Thinks he's edgy slagging off current and former greats. Fanboys Roger hoping Roger's fans will support him once Roger retires. Just an a-grade dickhead overall.

tbh i loved him trash talking wawrinka.

one guy left his wife and familly for an 18 year old, one guy trash talked him for it, who's the real bad guy?

in general stan seems cool and nick seems a prat, but that's the only way i can see that incident. plus tomic always takes the prat prize over nick.

I quite like Kyrgios, but I'm not sure why, because I don't disagree with anything you have said.

He is a pratt, the Wawrinka stuff was awful, (although stan shares some blame for being an old man getting involved with kids), and he is lazy and looks for excuses.

He can be good to watch though, and there is no harm in having a few characters.

He's also not as bad as Tomic, who seems to have all the same issues, but with less humour.

tbf to tomic their dad is a total clown, due to work i've seen more of his sister's career and the dad fucking killed her.
He dead headbutted a journalist didn't he?

A lot of these tennis dads are mental.

Particularly the father daughter relationships. The amount of female players that fall out with their parents due to the coach/parent dynamic is crazy.

yeah, the jelena dokic story is just horrible. but on the other side wozniaki's dad had his shit together and was very beneficial for her career.

Kyrgios is a smug cunt but certainly entertaining in a tennis era with too many dedicated and rehearsed characters. Would never root for the little shit, way too much BS (sometimes purposefully, sometimes out of cuntracter), and not playing opponent serves is far beyond gamesmanship, it's anti-sport and spitting into paying ppl's face. Too bad Safin or Fenya Gonzalez-like characters are missing today, who are both entertaining, yet respectful within certain standards and fuck anyone who thinks a tennis player is only allowed to act like Federer (coolest guy ever when winning, sometimes cuntish when losing). Not sure if between Nick and Tomic who's worse, but I'm sure Kyrgios match is the one to watch, his Nadal ones particularly spicy.

Good to have him around.

that pandering suit jacket bullshit fed wore at wimbledon is worse than anything nick has ever done.

i think that more due to hating wimbledon organisation in general than any dislike of federer, but it was just awful. do nike make suit jackets? no. do tennis players wear them? no. does the dress code limit lower ranked players ability to get their sponsors out there on the biggest stage of the year? yes. did they have sunday not monday off to limit the working man's ability to go? yes.

i don't like people pandering to me, but to do it for 10 stuck up millionaires, bolox.

The cardigan was the worst thing Fed has done IMO. I think Nadal's face here says it all.
