This has gone really quiet.
Kell Brook is a promotional free agent. Eddie Hearn is not involved in the negotiations thats why the fight is not getting any hype.

Apparently Sky will not be showing the fight live either.

Seems the Tweet above is also worrying as Brook is training himself. What a complete and utter shitshow.

APPARENTLY, Brook is looking to cash out here and doesn't want to have to pay Ingle the 200k (though Ingle says it's because he can't go to Spain with Brook to do his camp), this might be his biggest ever payday (I can't remember what he got for GGG) but after Crawford takes care of him I think that'll be time on Brook's career.

If the odds are right I might put something heavy down on a Crawford TKO/KO victory

Bob wanted in on ppv. Sky and Hearn said no. Lots of ppvs at the moment, and a 4am fight with a semi-retired Brook and Crawford won't do well.

Hearn and Sky also aren't keen on paying much to put it on free to air TV.

Think Bob was banking on some good UK revenue to fund this and he's been left with his dick in his hand.

Well Hearn was singing a different tune a few weeks ago. Since then Kells team decided to bypass him and negotiate directly.

“I had a couple of conversations with Bob [Arum] and Carl Moretti yesterday. And I feel that’s a big fight for UK TV, so we’re trying to help out and get that over the line,” said Eddie Hearn to IFL TV

I highly doubt he is training himself probably has brought in a trainer. Who is going to take a smaller cut then Ingle. He intially went over to spain to join BJ Saunders and Josh Taylor along with their coach Ben Davison around about July and he has been over there since.

Don't get why they don't just do a reduced price ppv £9.99 or whatever...
Eddie Hearn has an exclusive contract with Sky. Meaning for the fight to be shown he has to be willing to give up one of his dates.
Eddie is sending a message you wanna be on sky you have to go through me.

After the lengthy period of inactivity & the 2 beatdowns he already endured, even Dom couldn't help him here anyway. When Bud is whupping that ass he'll be wishing he was taking a late night stroll in Tenerife.

Yeah, Brook never pushed on after Porter. I still believe to this day he would have beat Thurman and picked up another belt during that period. A motivated Brook is elite, but too often than not he is not motivated for one reason or another.

I finally like Porky.

Porky going Detroit freestyle on Dominic Ingle and Eddie Hearn lol.

All the successfull youtubers usually start of by sucking up to a successful gym or promoter. Helps them gain access and inside info.

Atleast Porky is not playing that game. Like the Eli Sackbachs and the Kugan Cassius characters.

He is right about both Ingle and Hearn. Ingle trying to make out he turned down a 6 figure payday close to 200K when in all likelihood Kell did not hire him and decided to save his money. And Hearn claiming the fight between Brook vs Crawford is not Sky worthy. When infact he was dead keen until Brook decided to negotiate directly with Arum and cut him out.

Kell has been the most badly mismanaged fighter since Junior Witter. Hearn was willing to pay top dollar to bring over recognisable names such as Breidis Prescott and Demarcus Mcaurley to build up Paul Mcloskeys profile.

But wasted years of Brooks career by putting him in with tomatoe cans for intercontinental titles. And just trying to piggy back his profile of Amir Khan.

I agree. But Kell, and his dad shoulder most of the blame.

Kell's dad is supposedly difficult to work with, and Kell has never lived the life. I mean he's got himself stabbed twice, once after the biggest win of his career.

Biggest waste of UK boxing talent in my lifetime I think. Good career, but it could have been a Special One.

I like what you did there.

It will be Dom’s decision 100%. He isn’t dictated to by anyone. The mentality at the gym ever since they got fucked about by Naz is that no fighter is bigger than the gym.

If Hutchinson & Williams have fights scheduled with Dom in the corner he won’t mess them about to accommodate Brook.

Don’t get me wrong he’s lucky he isn’t desperate for money & can have that stance. If he wasn’t Brendan Ingle’s son & had to start from scratch he’d probably have to follow the money.

It was the same a while back when Ingle had upcoming fights in the UK & Brook wanted him to do a camp in Fuerteventura & he refused so Brook went to Fewkes.

Boxing is a mess. What a shit year it has been. Covid has exposed how shit matchmaking is look at the mismatches that have been aired

Hopefully the success of UFC forces legit matchups next year not the same ol predictable and undesirable fights.

The norm is for almost all trainers is that they go into camp with the boxer who is earning the bigger paycheck. And leave the assistant trainers to be in the corner for the routine fights of other boxers. Thats how they all play it.

I dont believe Dominic Ingle. The fact that Brook sidestepped Eddie Hearn as well. Means he is saving money 10% trainers fee for Ingle and a 15% management fee for Hearn since this is a Top rank card.

Thats straight $500K he has saved. Financially probably a wise decision.

Maybe Ingle did turn down the opportunity to train Brook for Michael Zerafa but the payacheck for Zerafa was way smaller then Crawford fight.
