Utter crap. Felt like Genesys part 2.

The good:

Grace was awesome. Very much channelled the Kyle Reece from T1. She carried this movie.

Likewise Gabriel Luna was fantastic, the guy is a great actor and pulled off the terminators mannerisms great. Reminded me of Robert Patrick

Sarah Connor is back!

Now the bad:

Yes it's anti male
Yes it's anti trump

Dani Ramos is a joke. 4 foot nothing, the future scenes with her are farcical.

Arnold's acting skills are getting worse and he had no place in this movie. When you find out how he's been living you'll laugh

The Rev9 terminator is liquid metal over a physical skeleton yet over and over the skeleton takes physics defying abuse

This movie suffers from Terminator Salvation syndrome where the future humans have advanced weaponary.

John Connor....basically they lied to us and the story shits on the previous movies.

CGI is laughable in spots. I'm pretty sure it was done on an old Commodore Amiga

Story is weak and not at all fleshed out

Cheesy dialogue

It looks like the Rev9 found GodsEye from Fast and Furious :rofl

Wait for blue ray, Netflix or pirate this trash please.

I couldn't tell you what's happened in Terminator movies since the 3rd one... I remember it was some female Terminator in that one, John Connor was a complete bitch and there was a nuclear war at the end.. that's it. Everything else after that point is a blur, I don't even know if I've watched all of them tbh.

Heard it's really good, but I don't know with film critics. They usually view a film totally different than I do.

In hindsight I think salvation is a pretty decent film, a good 3/5 stars, it was a nice opener and a good cast to start the whole future war thing, otherwise the films are all just rehashes of the first two. It’s us vs them and the whole film is a chase, but what’s the point in re doing that when the first and second absolutely nailed it?

I'm finding critics are more and more getting bought via review embargoes and limited access to review screenings. I still fall for their crap though almost everytime saying to myself "this time it's genuine..."

Whats happens at the beginning ? Spoiler tag it for me?
John is a digitally de aged Edward furlong. He gets killed by another C101 that skynet conveniently planted. Apparently there's loads of them he drop shipped through time before being obliterated

he is the terminator that killed John.......but just 2 months after killing John met a Mexican woman and decided to have a relationship. And have an adopted son. Oh and they don't have sex. And the question of whether he eats never pops up.

Oh and this also contradicts earlier movies that say the learning inhibitor must be disabled on all C101 models ala Terminator 2

It was a pass for me when i heard Sarah Conner utter "I hunt Terminators " in the trailer. I was thinking about going to see it before hearing that line of total cringe.
Crinngy and invalidates the first two movies as well.
Wft is it with studios trying to ruin mythos of popular franchises these days.

Haven’t seen it years but I honestly thought it was decent enough. It was different from the others in the right way. It didn't fuck around with the history of the other films. These newer ones are just trying to rehash T2 over and over again while Salvation attempted to bring us the future war which I think most of us were dying to see since the very first time we were teased it in T1.

Salvation was going to make a ballsy move in killing John and the half Terminator half human Marcus was going to use John's skin to disguise himself to keep the resistance going. Probably would have split fans down the middle though.

Anyone else noticing the pattern of ¨Fuck your gotdamn heroes growing up¨ going on with butchering the Star Wars,Alien, Predator, Transformers and to a certain extent, the GI Joe Franchises along with the less than flattering portrayal of Bruce Lee in Önce Upon a Time in Hollywood? Rambo and Rocky survived but only due to Stallone pretty much owning those characters.

I feel like those spoilers just described a really bad skit of Robot Chicken shitting on Terminator and half expect a remake of Fight Club with feminazi lesbian illegal immigrant minorities led by that dyke from the National Soccer team. Then again, she's white so who knows.

I was done with Salvation when I watched the trailer and saw Christian Bale casually execute a Terminator with a single shot from an ordinary rifle. The same weapon that has been repeatedly demonstrated to be basically completely ineffective and worthless against any Terminator. That's kind of the whole point of them - that you can't just shoot them and then relax and go for coffee. :fire

They also ruined what could have been a great moment by telling us flat out in the trailer that Marcus is a Terminator who doesn't know he's a cyborg and thinks he's a human man. To be fair, they did exactly the same thing in the original T2 trailer when they couldn't wait to tell everyone that Arnold is John Connor's protector now. Would have been a top-5 ATG shocking reveal for the pre-internet ticket buying audience, but they had to ruin it before the movie was even released.
