Is anyone else looking to invest money this year and if so, what avenues are you looking at? There's obviously been a lot of financial stresses and I've seen an increase in businesses looking for new investors, but then there's obviously the more traditional options such as stocks and shares, with expected profits in things like graphene.

What are you looking to invest in this year?

I really expected 2008 level cataclysm in the stock market last year but other than a shaky period, it never really materialised but I wouldn't even begin in predicting how it's going to pan out this year.

I would possibly look at tried and true blue chip companies that drop to good value prices and look for reasonable return, rather 2-3 baggers.

Gold for me record high but if shit hits like the fan in the world gold prices soar.

I am also putting a lot of my money into for profit bonds.

Fixed rate bonds at the minute are just woeful 5 year 0.70 2 years ago got 3%

After we hit our emergency fund goal, we're starting to save with some gold right now. 90% sovereign/govt coins, some .999 tiny bars.

I wish we had more extra funds for stocks, but not right now.
