I wasn’t digging tonights ep, this whole family affair of anthony joshua doesn’t interest me, thought Amos’s story last week was much more enjoyable
Damn weywalla
Also watching the excessively pathetic Star Trek Discovery of this girl "Michael" saving the entire galaxy every three episodes while jumping in time, parallel universe, warp speed, mushroom spore speed? and cries and almost dies every 5 minutes while saving the universe in pandering epic mess... The Expanse staying on human and personal level is a breath of fresh, spaceship circulated air.
The protomolecule both serves as deus ex machina, an unexpected spark with gasoline already spilled over Earth, Mars and the Belt, and it's also a red herring cause it don't really matter what alien cunts did to whom and when if we can't even get to the answer before our animal instincts and emotions destroy us, no blue goo necessary. Also dig that rather that rather than a "lets send Naomi on a side quest" there's deep focus on her past and the consequences of her actions, she's the most filled out character.
She's fragile, suffered greatly, but also brilliant, fearless and a survivor, a kind of female character no Star Trek or 99% of TV can properly write without lecturing us on "OUR COLORED FEMALE POSSIBLY BISEXUAL HERO IS FIGHTING AGAINST WHITE MALE HETEROSEXUAL INDUCTRINATED RELIGIOUS INJUSTICE" The Expanse has a great diverse cast and touches on many subjects without ever obviously pushing repetitive liberal agendas.
Amos is like a lost puppy without somewhen pointing his teeth toward the right wolf, dunno where it's going but then again, good to see him still being true to whatever person he thinks needs his protection gets it. And while 'the Martians are bonding', good to see that hot TV chick back on the Roci. Last few episodes should be really fun and I think much larger scale conclusion only comes next season. Also, really fucking good last scene last episode, The Expanse is great at those finishes, next episode can't come soon enough. Good shit!
