My faith or lack of faith has no bearing on anything. I will be disappointed when we don't win it, but less so than the blindly optimistic fans who fully believed we were going to win the moment we went a few points clear.
That's the spirit :sad

You are from stockport?

I dont want them to win at all but you could be a bit more committal than that. I'm a man u fan and even i was once more enthusiastic for them in champions league final.

I think you are being negative to be in the ''I told you so'' camp
I am not, I am just naturally a bit of a realist/pessimist, and I am not writing us off...we still have a lead, but I think it is more likely the team with far more depth, better man for man and title winning experience clinch it.

To me, the fact that we were 7 points clear without losing a game on Jan 2nd was astonishing, especially given how we had played in most of those games. I felt positive, as IF we started to fire properly then you'd imagine we would be even harder to take points off, but if we carried on playing as we had then that luck would eventually run out. And that's what happened.

But City will probably drop more points too, it just seems likely to be less than us given our form and the lack of invention in the midfield.

Lacazette is a ruthless motherfuker. Great player. Better than Auba, imo (=fact).
If he got the chances Aubameyang gets he'd have more goals than him I think. Aubameyang is good but he's a bit of a flat track bully and for a top class striker he misses a fair share of sitters.

He gets more chance because he gets in better positons.

That isn't true about the 'for a top class striker he misses a fair share of sitters'. His expected goals vs his actual goals has always been pretty much level for his whole career - not many players can say that.

Maybe I was being harsh on him. I know all strikers miss relatively easy chances but Lacazette while he doesn't get as many seems more clinical. One thing that is true about Aubameyang is that at Arsenal he needs to turn up in the big games. He's only scored against SSpurs and United and has been completely anonymous in other games against the top 6.

Tbf, I think they're both great strikers who are absolutely starved by a lack of creativity in Emery's systems. He's fat too negative and it leaves the strikers having to create for themselves or feed off the rare chances/scraps that come their way.

Same point about the lack of creativity, especially against the big teams. Playing ahead of a MF of Xhaka, torriera and Genduizi must be fuckin torture for any striker. People like Iwobi with the creative burden? Fuck. I nearly fell asleep typing that, ffs.

Haha I suppose so. Mhkitaryan don't help either. Emery hates Ozil and he doesn't do it anywhere near enough anyway.
