The Football Thread

  • CHB will be closing down as of 31st July 2021. It's been a brilliant experience to run the website for the past 9 years, however it's time for me to move onto different projects. Thanks to every single person involved, from staff, former staff, posters old and current. All support means more than anyone knows. Thanks for your understanding.

Who will win the 2019/20 PL??

any manager who has made their name in england should not move to scotland. the best result is their stock stays the same.

nothing nationalist bolox fromme about that statement. it's just a lose lose for the guy. why couldn't you win in scotland? so what you won in scotland? that is the reality of public perception.

In a deplorable basket
The Toon Army can breath a sigh of relief now, safety assured, I think. Might be you finish one off the relegation places but as a Villa fan I can tell you that can be a sweet place to be on the final day. Fulham aren't going to reel Newcastle in now and looking at their run in I can't see them getting enough to lay a claw on Brighton or Burnley.

I think what it is with Howe he might just be interested in the project at Celtic the rebuild what he did at Boeremouth similar instead of promotion potential champions league football jobs tailor made for hom .Alright maybe if a top 6 prem team wants him but the Celtic job I think is better than a lower half prem team like Palace or Newcastle .Much better exposure world wide better fan base etc .

not often, but sometimes the keeper is the best guy on the park. loved it.

that might be what he wants to do, fair play if it is, footballs football and if you are good knowledgeable people will see it. but the premiership is watched worldwide and put on a (silly) pedestal because of it, finishing 17th there is def more exposure than winning most leagues.

This is an excellent comeback by City. 1-0 down to PSG at half time, now it's 2-1, with PSG down to 10 men and City hunting a third goal. Hopefully they get it, they have been excellent in this second half.

Read what could be taking so long for Eddie Howe to Celtic is Boremouth in the play offs read he wants to to take some of the Boremouth backroom staff .If they get promoted though f--k knows . Bookies stopping taking bets on Howe .

EDDIE HOWE is on course to be the next manager of Celtic - at least according to the bookmakers.
Betfair today became the latest firm to suspend betting on the next permanent Hoops manager market - with the assumption being that a deal to make the 43-year-old the next man up in the Parkhead hotseat is already signed, sealed and delivered.
