Kind of off topic and not Biden related but last night and this morning, I was in the mood to watch some old boxing matches especially since there are no sports on right now other than golf

I was watching a couple of old Roy Jones fights, it's amazing how people forget how great he was before he lost all of that weight to fight Tarver.....

oh yeah he was a great fighter, a special fighter at his best. His reflexes, timing, speed, athleticism, punch creativity.. He was amazing. The Vinny Paz fight is probably one of my favorite fights ever.

one could argue (i dont buy into this) that RJJ always had a shit chin or at least questionable durability. he wasn't really hit that much in his prime. Bhop and James toney probably tagged him the most but even then they did not really hit RJJ that much.

Lou de valle was famously the only one to knockdown roy jones in his prime, and it was a hard knockdown too. Del Valle was apparently a former sparring partner of Roy Jones. I guess there is that old saying, "never fight a sparring partner"

I think Jones screwed up when he lost all that muscle and fought tarver. he should have just fought at cruiserweight after beating Ruiz.

i dont buy into the biden-roy jones comparison lol. maybe the past prime version of Roy jones who was hittable but good enough to beat some fighters like past prime jeff lacy or past prime tito trinidad.

Yeah, the Paz fight was one of the ones that I watched yesterday. That was an amazing performance.

The cruiserweight division was weak in the era of 2003 and I think that's why he skipped back down to light heavyweight but yeah, that owuld have made more sense.

I'm only kidding when I compare Biden to prime Roy, I just do that to joke around based on Johnstown making the comparison. I'm still sticking with the 1996 Holyfield comparison. A guy obviously past his peak but no where near as shot as many people thought on his way to pulling off a shocking crushing victory over a high profile opponent.

yeah Vassily Jirov vs Jones jr at cruiser would have been cool, maybe a james toney-RJJ rematch at cruiser would have been interesting at around that time.

the 96' holyfield comparison makes sense I think. I just dont like comparing biden to great fighters lol. biden is sloppy.

biden will be asking people what an america is in 6 weeks
Ah, yes.

Certainly you would find it HIGHLY disturbing if the American President was a half-senile, doddering old man who:

* can't lift a glass of water to his lips

* can't walk (well, shuffle) down a short ramp without looking like he's ancient and is about to collapse and break his hip

* can't find an armoured stretch limousine sitting in the same place it always is - namely, 10 feet in front of the Air Force One door that the President exits the plane from

* repeatedly says one word when he means another ("oranges/origins"), confuses people's names with their jobs ("Tim Apple"), or just makes up nonsense words that don't exist

* can't stand up straight without wobbling around and looking like he's about to topple over

* and who is either so senile or so fucking stupid to start with that he's a serious risk to somehow ask the Prime Minister of the UK to confirm that they are a nuclear power.

Would any of that put you off Biden for seeming senile?

How about all of it?

Plus the general knowledge of a not particularly bright or curious 11 year old?

Jill Biden says Kamala Harris is ‘on the short list’ for running mate

"Jill Biden said Tuesday that California Senator Kamala Harris is “on the short list” to be her husband’s running mate.

During an interview on “The Today Show,” the wife of Democratic nominee Joe Biden said she was “thrilled” that he pledged to pick a woman as his running mate in March and he was looking for someone who shares his values on governing.

When pressed specifically about Harris, Biden demurred, but noted “she’s on the short list.”"

lets compare..

trump does 3 hour rallies to tens of thousands with cameras poised for gotcha moments on his every spoken word.
biden is litterally hiding from the press and when they can get a moment of clarity out of him hes shuffled into a back alley in front of 9 people with a 7 minute time limit in case his brain melts live to air...
america just had a hundred million covid deaths don't ya know??….
