Did you ever absolutely hate your boss ? Makes going to work absolutely shit. Regular folks like us put up with it because we have bills to pay but when you're getting paid millions guaranteed regardless of if you play/perform it makes it easier to down tools.
You have an obligation to the fans of the club that are paying you those millions to pull your shit together.

Ridiculous to compare a normal job to that of a professional footballer. For a start if you hate your boss you are stuck with him for a third of the entire day at least. These guys go to training for a couple of hours and then hit the golf course. So they don't like their current boss? Ok use the millions your being paid to console yourself and pull your shit together for the sake of the fans.

If your going to give the players a pass for shit like that what is honestly the point in supporting a club in the first place?

The idea that players just downed their tools is ridiculous

There was far more going on

It's no coincidence this keeps happening under mourinho

He plays people in wrong position and destroys people's morale

The idea that this shouldn't have effect because they're making lot of money is ridiculous, because most of them can earn same elsewhere

Confidence and morale goes a long way

You're right you can't compare footballers to the rest of us because of us don't have a choice but to put up with bullshit cause we've got bills to pay. Footballers can fuck off to other clubs and countries and make their millions so they have options unlike most people who can't afford to be between jobs for any extended amount of time.

Why is that so hard to understand ?

If you are going to accept players doing that despite the money and lifestyle they have what exactly is the point of supporting a team to begin with?

Born a Red, die a Red. Just the way it is.
At a detriment to your club? If you accept the players downing tools like that simply because they don't like the manager anymore how is that good for your club? Can't they just do that again?

I'm not saying they all downed tools, they didn't. What I'm saying is 8f you're in a toxic work environment it's difficult to put your best football forward. It makes no difference if you're a footballer or an IT worker.

On top of the manager being a wanker he was also playing players out of position which was also pissing them off. How can you be at your best when not being played in your position?

Maureens ego was so big that he had his style off football and tried to get the players to fit into it. Like trying to put square blocks into circular holes.

The team aren't playing better now simply because they're happy with Ole but also because he's playing to their strengths. The positions and style of football they're suited to.

This is ridiculous

If you have to go to work
in a toxic environment
get played in wrong position
Made to play in fear of mistakes
Forced into poor morale and low
confidence

Your best isn't that good, these are young men playing in high pressure situation

I really want Man U to win the FA Cup. Haven't wanted Man U to win anything since Fergie died.

Oh come on. Surely it is not unreasonable to expect them to be a little tougher mentally. They get paid millions to play a game that involves kicking a ball around a field for Christ sake.

So if they don't have everything there own way they are justified in throwing there toys out of the pram. I was gonna say like my three year old but that would honestly be an insult to her. And you think this is a good representation of your club?

Imagine if these guys had actual problems.

@KO-KING, These are ridiculously paid young men, if they played for the devil it should not make any difference to their standard of play. Myself and many others have worked in environments where the Foreman/ Manager disliked you for one reason or another, but you had no option than to give of your best, otherwise you got the "sack". Regards Mervyn The Gee

These guys have been pampered and spoiled since they were kids. So yeah its unreasonable to expect them to behave like the average blue collar worker.

Who's gonna sack a work force worth hundreds of millions ? How hard is it to understand that different rules apply to different people ? After all these years you still haven't figured that out ?

I get your point but your expectations are not the reality

All I'm saying is that as a fan you should be looking to make your team/club better. Excusing what these players has done just increases the likelihood of it happening again which means more bad results and potential revenue loss for the club overall.

Well it was you who made that comparison not me. Now your saying it's not comparable.

There is a very good chance they will simply do this again. When as a fan, do you start to say maybe they are a major part of the problem?

I didn't make a comparison. I said we all know what it's like to work under a dickhead. But we put up with it because we've no choice, footballers do. They won't won't get the sack.

If they do it under Ole then fine, take them out back and shoot them. But they won't because unlike Jose, Ole knows how to be humble and treat people with respect. He's not an egomaniac who blames everybody else for his failings.

The bloke publicly slammed a female physio for fucks sake.
