I didn't make a comparison. I said we all know what it's like to work under a dickhead. But we put up with it because we've no choice, footballers do. They won't won't get the sack.

If they do it under Ole then fine, take them out back and shoot them. But they won't because unlike Jose, Ole knows how to be humble and treat people with respect. He's not an egomaniac who blames everybody else for his failings.

The bloke publicly slammed a female physio for fucks sake.
Are the players not blaming somebody else for their failings?

Was somebody else responsible for the teams failings ?
Yes, partially. I don't think Mourinho is blameless by any stretch. He was a complete failure this season. So problems at all saying that.

Let's look at Real Madrid. They have had a similar season this year to United although they have won several champions leagues in a row. Their players have downed tools similar to United. They sacked their manager. What do you think is going to happen in the summer? They will get rid of the majority of the big name players and replace them because they will not accept anything other than a player playing his absaloute BEST while wearing that shirt. I mean their fans booed Ronaldo several times for god sake.

You and the United fans in general do not have that same sort of mentality. Your putting ALL of the blame on the manager and holding the players accountable for NOTHING but simply excusing them with comparisons like "haven't you ever hated your boss". While Madrid will simply fuck out anyone who doesn't win them shit. Even if those same players have won multiple champions leagues. Cunt manager or not.

Madrid change their manager as quick as a prostitute drops her knickers, even if they've been successful. United gave Jose every chance, more than Madrid would have or did.

This club wants stability, to win and look good doing it, and do it all with home grown talent when possible. Jose doesn't do much of that but he was still given every chance.

The players are also given every chance like you mentioned which is the right way to do it. Jose is gone, the lads are playing at their best, everything is rosey and it's all because the manager is gone.

Yes Madrid change their manager if he is not meeting expectation.

No the club do not want stability as evidenced by the number of managers the club have had in recent years. The club simply want to win things in the same way Madrid do.

The players are given a free pass by the likes of yourself to the detriment of the club. If they are not giving 100% then they should be gone along with the manager. Excuses should not be made for them. At the list successful clubs in the world such as Madrid it would not be so I cannot understand why United fans lower themselves when compared to them.

I suppose we'll just have to disagree on this one pal, we've got two completely different opinions on this.

Yup fair enough mate.

Your Irish though yeah if I'm not mistaken? Well my final point on this will be that my main team is Shelbourne so I think that shows you I am right. I accept your apology.

Oh come on. Surely it is not unreasonable to expect them to be a little tougher mentally. They get paid millions to play a game that involves kicking a ball around a field for Christ sake.
If it was that simple of a game as kicking a ball round, why are there so few world class players, I dont get what money has to do with this, they are at the top of their professions, many professions pay millions if you are elite in it, doesn't mean you can't get down mentally

Should some of the players have played better, yes of course, but I don't buy into the idea that the fault was simply because players stopped playing for the manager

@KO-KING, These are ridiculously paid young men, if they played for the devil it should not make any difference to their standard of play. Myself and many others have worked in environments where the Foreman/ Manager disliked you for one reason or another, but you had no option than to give of your best, otherwise you got the "sack". Regards Mervyn The Gee

Again money goes away from the issue

I've worked in toxic environments created by the manager and I've managed places where I've taken over a toxic environment, it's not difficult to see even the hardest working workers increase output and delivery when it's a happier environment and there is more trust and freedom given to the workers, vast majority of people across the board produce better results when they are encouraged and given trust, rather than work in fear and depressed

Not all of your actions are conscience, some you do without realising.

Another day and another game. Today we host Burnley at the theatre of dreams.

De Gea will obviously come back into the starting lineup. Lukaku put in a motm performance against Arsenal so may have earned himself another start. I wonder whether we will see Fred come in for either Hererra or Matic.

Bailly is likely to keep his place ahead of Jones I think. Burnley have been playing okay recently but still struggling against the big teams.

I think 3-0 to us.

Why was the selection and formation changed so much for tonight ? The 4,2,3,1 was working perfectly.

Good comeback to get the draw but it's still points dropped. Although I think Bournemouth will take some off Chelski tomorrow.

Guarantee Ole will go back to that 4,2,3,1 formation for the next game game though.

Manchester United travel to the King Power stadium today to take on Leicester who despite managing a draw against Liverpool midweek are currently on a poor run of form with losses to Wolves, Newport and Southampton since their last win.

I expect our lineup to return to the one we had in Ole's first game in charge with the exception of Bailly playing instead of Jones. Going to be a real tough game today. The foxes have played well against the top teams this year, beating both Chelsea and Man City whilst drawing with Liverpool. It's likely to be a fun game of counter attack vs counter attack.

Can't wait for kickoff. I'm leaning towards a 2-0 United win.

Wasn't far wrong with the lineup. Sanchez starts ahead of Martial but the rest is as predicted. Sanchez has played well recently. Scored against Arsenal and had the header that Lindelof scored the rebound from against Burnley. Hopefully he can put in another good performance today.

So United have got the manager and player of the month double for the first time since January 2011 when Ferguson and Berbatov claimed the awards. This January it was Ole and Rashford. Well deserved if you ask me.

Tomorrow we travel to Fulham who have been in very poor form and have been struggling all season. We have an important home tie against PSG on Tuesday which I think will play a part in Solskjaers team selection. We need to beat Fulham though, and a victory here could see a very real possibility that we find ourselves in fourth by the end of the weekend with City playing Chelsea.

We have plenty of attacking options. I think he would like to rest Rashford, Martial and Lingard before Tuesday so we may well see Sanchez, Lukaku and Mata start or he could start Rashford in hopes of keeping his confidence high, we'll see. I think we need to rest Matic and Hererra but our cover options are not great with Mctominay and Pereira. James Garner is still not ready for first-team action and Fellaini has, of course, moved on. Rojo is still out, Valencia is out, I don't know whether Smalling is back or not yet. I predict we may see something like the below.

De Gea

Young/Dalot
Jones/Bailly
Lindelof
Shaw

Fred
Matic
Pogba

Mata
Lukaku
Sanchez

As stated, Fulham have been very poor lately and are battling relegation. I can't see anything other than a United win here. I was at Old Trafford for the previous game against Fulham earlier in the season and we thoroughly outplayed them. They looked like they had very little to offer back then and it seems little has changed.

My prediction: 4-0 United.

He's earned it alright but the board will wait until March when this mental period of fixtures is over. If we come through with decent results from the games against PSG, Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Arsenal then they'll definitely give it to him.
