Hamilcar Publications has some great boxing books in which I will be dabing soon.
Including a Johnny Tapia book and Killed in Brazil about the death of Arturo Gatti.
I've got the Tapia book, the Valero book and will get the Gatti book (didn't it get put back until end June?). They're short books but worth looking at. I hope the Camacho book is a cracker. The guy who wrote it wrote Hands of Stone.

You'll enjoy the Valero book, shows you what a loose cannon he was. Someone ought to do the full long version. What might be a problem is the lack of info about him. He was a strange one. Fun book.

I'll get the Gatti book ordered shortly.

There is alao a book on the Gatti-Ward trilogy:Intimate warfare.
Also a canadian joirnalist made a book on Gatti if you speak french:Arturo Gatti Le dernier round.Apparently pretty controversial.

I've seen the Intimate Warfare Trilogy book, nearly bought it yesterday. I don't speak French but I'd be prepared to have a look at the book. I lived in the Netherlands for a while and had very basic Dutch, I was amazed at how much I could read though. Maybe too in French.

I have got Micky Ward's book, ordered it pissed one night, can't remember this until the postman delivered it. Good book that.

Crazy to think, when Froch fought Pascal at fringe World Level on ITV all of those years ago, the names that they'd go onto face between them.

It's like a who's who of 168-175lb

I think you're right.

Why don't the best fight the best more often?

I'm not typically into self-harm, but I did make the mistake of watching 'Top 10 Boxing Ringwalks' by Sky Sports tonight :patsch
I watched some of the 101 greatest knockouts on Sky the other day. (it's uk stuff from 89 - 99)

Opens up with Jim McDonnell getting sparked twice. Must be a bit gutting that. You would think they might split them up to spare his feelings.

It's not a great watch, but it was interesting seeing some of the domestic level punchers from that era.

Guys like Georgie Smith

Looks like Jay is back on the drink.

What good is a huge payday if only your heirs will enjoy it?

Anyone seen @dkos lately? @Jay

I noticed he wasn't about for the last Warren card which is understandable but unusual for @dkos to miss a card. I see he hasn't been online since May (no stalker). Hope he's OK.
