I saw a squirrel die yesterday.

It was hit by a car in front of me. They just drove off, we stopped to check if it could be saved, but it was a goner.

His head was caved in and one eye was hanging out. He jumped about mad for about 5 seconds, (like a fish out of water), then just lay still and died.

I think his brain was maybe still trying to get him to run, but his nervous system was shot.

We moved him to the side of the road and left him. A fox or something will have eaten him last night.

It's been a while since I saw anyone/anything die. It's rarely a pleasant experience.

I've really got into car shows these days and have been binge-watching and flicking around channels like a whirling dervish. I have signed up to just about everything and have been using my VPN to watch shows on 'On Demand' channels in the US and UK; most are FTA I have even signed up for MotorTrend which has car shows only (already got Disney, Amazon Prime, Foxtel, a top IPTV provider, Binge, Stan, and others).

Best shows are:

Car SOS - my absolute favourite of all
Wheeler Dealers
Overhaulin'
Texas Metal
American Hotrod
Top Gear (UK)
The Grand Tour
Kindig Customs
Fast n' Loud
Chasing Classic Cars (the old guy is a boring cunt though)
Dream Jobs with Chris Hoy
For the love of cars

Does anyone have any recommendations that I may have missed?

RIP squirrel.

Fucking hate animals dying. You're a good man, Mancini, for stopping and moving the old fella to the side of the road. You're the last thing he'll remember. Need more like you, kid. :good

Cars are/were never my thing. You got the UK market there with Top Gear. I'll keep my ear to the ground, see if I can think of stuff you might have missed.

I love cars but apart from Top Gear, I'd never really watched many shows. I've been 'working' from home for months and just started watching any shit at all. Once I got through every Marvel and Star Wars film, I got onto documentaries and then onto car shows, through Discovery.

Car SOS is well worth a watch.

Problem with Top Gear for me is I couldn't stand any of the presenters on it, couldn't even watch Clarkson after a bit. If cars are your thing, that's your show.

Well, apart from a ten-minute segment, it was barely about cars. Just a group of rich old boys having a craic.

I'm watching this TV show on Amazon Prime last night, it was about a little girl called Gypsy Rose Blanchard and her mother "Dee Dee", basically Redneck Americans living in Louisiana, the mother has some kind of Munchhausen-By-Proxy and kept the kid a diet of pills and fed her all her life through a feeding tube directly into her stomach, the medication made all her teeth become porous and fall out, she shaved her hair regular, claimed she was allergic to sugar, carted her around in a wheel chair even though she could walk fine, had a bunch of procedures carried out on her by doctors and profiteered off her by getting nominated for all these awards and bravery prizes.

From her biography website "Gypsy Rose, who was born in 1991, was a baby when Dee Dee claimed her daughter had sleep apnea. When Gypsy was eight years old, Dee Dee described her as suffering from leukemia and muscular dystrophy and said she required a wheelchair and feeding tube"

https://www.biography.com/news/gypsy-rose-blanchard-mother-dee-dee-murder

Throughout her life the mother would lie about her date of birth trying to keep her in a perpetual age of 10-14, she'd drug the girl up to get her out of it and tell people she had a mental age of 7.

So anyway, the story was that she got to a certain age that she realised what was being done to her, met a guy on the internet and convinced him to kill her mother... she's still in prison without parole to this day.

Personally that shit to me was self-defence... anyway, it's worth a watch and it seems a uniquely American story.

That sounds fucking interesting, really interesting. I'm going to try find the film as I don't pay for Prime (don't watch it enough). I'll have a look at the webpage too. Thanks.

Think it was called "The Act", you will genuinely feel hatred towards the mother ... I'm glad she got stabbed, that is an evil piece of shit right there.

Isn't that a film or a TV drama now? Sure I watched it last year on Netflix.
