Yep The Office should be higher.

Good to see Detectorists on there as well.

Only one I haven't seen is Dinnerladies. Anyone know if it's worth a watch?

Shit order. If The Office is not in the top 5 it can fuck off. It was utterly groundbreaking, original and almost created a new genre of comedy/drama in which there were no "jokes" with the traditional set up and punch line. It has aged flawlessly, is incredible well directed, written and acted, while managing to be subtle for a great deal of time, before using old school slapstick, in a sudden moment, that doesn't feel forced. Having fucking Dinnerladies and Absolutely Fabulous above it is laughable (no pun intended).

Extras not being in the top 20, but fucking Vicar of Dibley made it.

Also, I love Fawlty Towers, but it's grossly overrated. It's very good, but it's 95% slapstick with very predictable gags at times. Still great, but nostalgia is what has people always putting it as the best ever.

Is this supposed to include only "real life"? Because if it is just comedy series' then Mighty Boosh, Garth Marenghi..., and Red Dwarf should be there.

AS others have said, The Office is far too low.

The Royle Family is number 1 for me out of personal choice, then it'd be The Office.

Fawlty Towers was fuckin' crap. Basically fuckin toilet humor. Pish.

If that's the kinda comedy people want there was another show that was much better. I can't actually remember what it was called though. Some gay guy Frank or summin.

Fuck, Mr Bean was legit funnier than Fawlty Towers.

English people have a shite sense of humor, man.

I've always thought this.

Or maybe Scottish people are the ones with the shite sense of humor :think1

Either way, they're very different types of humor. Some carry across pretty well. I think stuff like The Office, Peep Show, Partidge crosses over quite well but muck like Vicar of Dibley, Gavin and Stacy, Hyacinth Bucket, Black Adder, Dinner ladies, Reginald Perrin...did any cunt in Scotland every watch any of these?

Yet things like Still Game, High Times, etc don't even feature on these lists that are clearly made up by English people.

Maybe I'm way off here... @Broxi @McGrain @Mat Cauthon I canny even mind who else is Scottish on here, tbh.

Too fucking right, even if it's only us that laugh at our own jokes.

Better slapstick fall than Dellboy falling through the bar door
