Loved the concept and first half of season one but then the feminism set in and completely ruined it.

The latest episode of Westworld was so awful it had to be turned off half way through.

Watch out for the scene in the ambulance that has an injured Dolorus and Arron Paul in the back. Two badies pull it over. Arron Paul gets out and attacks one of them , the other stands there doing absolutely nothing to help his buddy. He then walks casually over to Dolores and looks at her.
Dolorus gets up and kills them both.
Total rubbish.

Westworld was a one season show, Ford achieved what he wanted and that's that. Been mostly shit since, but at least production quality is high so I guess I'm sticking to it to see if the new season will have anything to say on modern AI.

That's part of the reason I rarely watch these shows.

They either become popular, and are dragged on far longer than the story requires, or they get cancelled before it's finished.

That's why you need to truss me on this and watch The Expanse, which is hard sci-fi done great (even without a fancy cast). Few warm-up episodes as it's a world builder, than it goes real! Beltalowda!

The show-runners are too occupied with riddling and revealing the audience that the kinda forgot how to present an engaging narrative.
Season 1 struck the perfect balance of engagement and intrigue while also having a good cast of characters.
I might dip out and pick it back up again around episode 8 . Dolorus and Hale are just too painful to watch for entire episodes.

Cheers. I have heard lots of good things about this, and I like Sci Fi, so it should be up my street. We will also be watching more TV than usual due to the virus lockdown.

I think it's on Amazon Prime in the UK. We have it, but never watch it. Will need to get the app onto the TV.

Will try make this a priority.

Season 2 of After Life off to a good start!

I really like the fact that it's full of the Gervais morbid and awkward humor with him in the middle... and yet After Life is not really a Ricky ego trip, has plenty of everyday mostly loser characters you can root for cause they feel genuine.

Started Outlander this week. Really good . Set in the Scottish highlands at the start of the second Jacobite rebellion . Slow start but really turns good. Starts Tobias Mendez from game of thrones .

Also just finished Homeland. A series that had a blip but I think has been brilliant for for the last 3/4 seasons .

Been watching Normal people. It's a kind of artsy take on a young Irish couple, based on the Booker prize winning book.

I'm really enjoying it. Might be a bit slow and girly for some. Loads of sex scenes do far though, so there's always that.

Well, my abiding memory of series 1 was of pretty much every single character imploring Ricky to see what a truly special, wonderful, incredible human being he was... It was fucking relentless  And then you remember Ricky wrote every last word of this show and... Balls on 'im, that's all l can say. Decent gag about the peado and the ginger though, tbf.

Been watching the second series of Mike Judge's Tales From the Tour Bus, covering the funk era of the 60s, 70s & 80s - very entertaining, particularly the Rick James episodes. Maybe swerve the last two shows, but all the rest were great.

Also finally got around to watching Hip Hop Evolution on Netflix. The Tupac and Biggie stuff was mostly old ground, although watching Shock G of Digital Underground reminiscing over his old friend was pretty moving stuff. Clearly loved Tupac to bits, but knew full well he'd become a nob when he got out of prison for the last time, and turned on Smalls. Overall, a really wide-ranging effort though - stops around about the 2010 mark, appropriately enough.

Light hearted dramedy about the rise of Catherine the Great, following her very early time arriving to Russia. Some fun and curse but no enough tits or swag namsayin. But the kinda shit I can put in the background and do home office namsayin? Nicolas Hoult is kinda charismatic but Elle Fanning is the exact opposite, lacking even popular girl power.

Castle Duckula.
Started watching Normal People. Bland. Exactly like the book which is the best thing I can say. Sally Roomy also did the screen play. It's basically that sex fan fiction stuff that middle ages woman like. The sex scenes are not worth a wank. Quite like the acting and the dialogue taken from the book is still realistic. Nothing to note about the story and the characters would benefit from being beaten to death.
