I suppose Tunde has created an atmosphere where he is a friend first, trainer second..... Probably entertainer third

In that interview he also outlines why Yarde will KO Kovalev easily, and it's because...

Yarde KO'd Reeves, Reeves went in the ring with Murat, Murat went went 12 with Hopkins and an old Hopkins went the distance with Kovalev. Yes...really, that was his logic. He did the classic A beat B, B beat C, so A beats C thing, only it didn't even work in that regard as Reeves got stopped by Murat too, and Murat lost to Hopkins.

He also confirms that they don't have sparring in the gym. Oh and he ridicules the idea of going up in levels like British to EBU etc on the basis that Crolla and Bellew did that, and they both got battered by Loma and Usyk respectively.

If we are facing in the right direction all we need to do is keep on walking...

The man is a retard and I can't wait to see Yarde get taken to the cleaners. Kovalev will make mince meat out of him.

It's funny how Tunde threw away all of his philosophies, the 'everything is timing', never going to Russia, 'we're the A side' etc. as soon as Kovalev's team flashed the cash. Then again it shouldn't be a surprise. It's all about the money for Tunde, hence why he threw Junior Benjamin, his nephew, in the bin as soon as it turned out he couldn't generate any cash for him. And why anyone who trains with him has to also sign a managerial agreement. And why everything he does is built around his Stamina for Sale business.

This is more like some shit dance choreography than anything else. Yarde is fucked if he does actually go to Russia, he's not prepared at all.
With that sort of pad-work he is going to get badly battered if he goes to Russia.

Interesting article.

As we celebrate the 12 days of Christmas we will be bringing you 12 of the best pieces of writing from Boxing Monthly magazine over the last 12 months. On the twelfth day of Christmas we bring to you... Mick Gill's interview with Tunde Ajayi from our November issue...

For a dozen years, east London gym rat Tunde Ajayi suffered derision as a deluded “Mayweather clone” whilst struggling to carve a reputation as a trainer. Lately, however, mocking comments are seldom heard.

Championing his maverick “System 9, Stamina for Sale” coaching concept, the former undefeated pro welterweight has groomed Anthony Yarde from an eight-bout amateur novice to the cusp of world title contention.

Yarde has barely lost a minute — let alone a round — in cruising to a 16-0 (15 KOs) record and top six world light-heavyweight rankings with both the WBO and IBF. And coach Ajayi is not shy about taking some of the credit.
