Definitely. Thurman didn't seem like he was flowing in the moment very much. Once Lopez turned it up, Thurman seemed to be thinking too much, not so fluid, not enough variation in his reactions.
That's what happens when you only spar.
Also, massive credit to Lopez. That was one helluva performance.
I think we all have to give Keith time to adjust. He clearlyvwasn't the same fighter. He's been out for so long it's understandable why he struggled. I was bothered by his reactions to being hit hard, though. Lopez put him in survival mode after the 6th, and he stopped commiting to his power punches.
Happened yesterday in Houston. Munguia won a wide decision but it was total bullshit, Inoue gave him the business, Jaime couldn't bully him and was on the backfoot the whole fight although he was landing the harder punches. It was a great fight overall but the scorecard really left a sour taste in my mouth.
