Been doing bag work and so forth to try to lose some weight (along with a better diet...intermittent fasting...weight training and walking...down to 230 from 241 back at the start of June).

Anyhow dude I'm sparring has 7 amateur fights...5 and 2...he had his first fight a little over a year and a half ago...he trained for maybe 9 months before that.

Comes down fairly consistently....

Bigger than me...about 6"1 265...

I'm 5"9 230 (should be 200 walking around tops ..really 185).

Anyhow...not bragging about this...lots of off balance lunges...I got tagged a few times by some straight up garbage.

I'm 40 years old and at this point this is stupid for me to do.... but just felt like mixing a bit...

I have spared 3 times in the last three weeks...all with guys under 180....

Who knows...I might do a bullshit masters fight...

Points for posting the vids but I struggle to believe the flatfooted guy you are sparring is 5-2.
Only film I got of him fighting is on the PA Golden Gloves final.

Go to about 44 minutes...

They talk about him as he comes in...

Unfortunately he fought a 6"9 ex NFL player who has apparently been boxing for awhile out in the philly area (I found film on the guy sparring from 4 years ago....).

Chris got bombed out...he also seemed to be a bit mentally off put by the event and the size of his opponent as well...

Down syndrome is usually caused by an error in cell division called “nondisjunction.” Nondisjunction results in an embryo with three copies of chromosome 21 instead of the usual two. Prior to or at conception, a pair of 21st chromosomes in either the sperm or the egg fails to separate.

Is that from the printout the psychologist gave your parents?

Floating like a butterfly, stinging like jellyfish in the 2nd round there mate, we'll be calling you the Twinkle-Toed Terrorizer...

But well done on the weight loss, keep it up... are you trying to get down to 185 in future?

In theory that would be great.

I'd be pretty happy being 200 being able to stay there though.

Good work, mate. You doing any cardio?
I been trying to keep increasing the amount and intensity ofmy heavybag work....

Also have my brother hold mitts which usually gets into a high heart range..

I been starting to use a row machine....

I used to run years ago...but I'm gonna wait till I lose some weight to mix that in...I dont think my knees should be taking 230 pounds at age 40 (my brain probably shouldn't be taking any punches either...but oh well).

I do walk at least 2 miles most every day...obviously that doesnt do much for the cardio...

But yeah...I got more tired than I should...most of the shots he caught me with was due to fatigue.

Going to start doing some speed bag...once I lose about another 10 pounds I'll start trying to add in some running with my walks (probably just do 300 meters...try to add a bit every day) and jump rope (I can jump rope decently...just...again...the knees and my weight)
