DAY 1

Morning weigh in: 135.6kgs


Well I'm fucking massive. :lol: After two fairly rough years in terms of work and injuries, I've absolutely let myself go.

Ah well, only one way to change it. I hope to get my cadio fitness back (knee injuries really did me in, as cardio was always my touchstone that kept me from going too far) and work on a good, healthy diet and overall life structure.

Last two days have been a bit shit. Had a slightly boozy night last night and ate some takeaway and was therefore not hungry in the morning. Went to work at about 10am, and had a physical day.... For lunch had some sushi, but was pretty good with the drinking, only having two pints of low carb lager (about 3g of carbs per pint)...

Night time was was pretty loose, as I ate a big low carb meal consisting of steak and green salad and a few slices of cheese... I finished off the tub of mango sorbet in the freezer (which was always part of the plan for today)...

So I lost a point for late eating, a point for rice and a point for the sorbet.

Double zero is never a great way to start, but today was more about gaining my bearings.

Day 2

Morning weigh in: 135.6kgs


Yeah couldn't really expect any better.

Had some low carb toast for breakfast along with a small can of tuna. Lunch was some chicken katsu without any rice, some Japanese coleslaw and tempura pumpkin. Typically physical work day, and at night ate some beef sausages which were quite low in fat! About 5.5g per piece, which is good for sausages.

No exercise, and dock a point for late eating, pretty good diet day overall!

Some good progress, roughly 6kgs!

Had my first official cheat today, at about 5pm had a chicken flatbread roll with fries followed by a big tub of yoghurt... Terry loves yoghurt!

So it's a 1 for late eating and a point deduction for the carbs.

Probably won't weigh in until Thursday morning!

Still feeling battered and bruised from the 7-day Pride rally week... But the eating today was fantastic! Was still full from the cheat meal, so just had a health shake for breakfast, then a big plate of tempura veggies for lunch!

This week I'll blissfully only be working four days, and will have two glorious, luxurious days off in a row... hopefully with adequate rest I can tear into some exercise, but for now happy with that eating, and very happy I avoided the booze for the last couple of days!

Hi @RappingKungFuToaster, not posted in here yet. Had kids on hol then mind through me under the bus. Did actually keep a check on what I was upto though so will get it posted up. Had a few great training and eating days and a few days when my diet bombed.

I'll give a bit of detail of what I've been up to and just the points. I won't be putting everyday up as some were flat out 0. In fact I'd get a minus score for some.

Welcome back mate!

I haven't exactly been a big-hitter thus far... The Sydney Pride rally is the biggest work week on my calendar, so I hadn't made myself any wild promises before then. Particularly involving drinking! Had some very drunk days in there (on mainly low carb beer, but still...).

Fell ill the last two days and spent them in bed sweating my tits off. My appetite returned today and I piled up on sushi and noodles.

Something of a distraction, but back on the wagon tomorrow!

Called in sick for work today, felt like shit and visited the doc, who prescribed me with a day of bed rest. Fatigue from some heavy work weeks brought some sickness on it seems.

Did fuck-all besides lay in bed, and what little I ate was packed with carbs, which included yoghurt, noodles and a big sandwich.

Started feeling better, but still had a day off work today with the bosses blessing, and rested up some more. Appetite returned with a vengeance and rather than some fancy keto fuckery, I just ate a solid meal of some good nutritious food, eating sushi, and then a big tub of yoghurt later in the day.

I didn't have many good days up until yesterday for this. I was quite active and diet wasn't altogether terrible all the time, but in fairness to myself I'm going to discount all the days that I know for a fact I didn't do everything needed. I'm going to give myself 4 full points days. That was mainly exercise and only two full point diet days.

Great day diet and exercise day. I did a full cardio session at my peak limit. I've been enjoying pushing myself in this regard and it is something I really want to continue mixed with weight session days. I totally knackered myself for the rest of the day and ended up having a forced quick sleep and early night. Food wise I ate mainly fruit during the day, a couple of weetabix then tuna and sweetcorn for lunch. Later on for dinner I had two lean burgers and a load of salad.

To add to this I've been in an unwelcome state mentally for awhile now. I shared that yesterday and felt so much better and lighter. Since then I've felt a completely new beginning inside of me. The idea of this thread is a good base for that.

I've been bloody useless since I fell ill, a few days off work and just comfort-ate while I rewatched Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Went back to work today and ALMOST put up a 3 point eating day before fucking it up right at the end.

Feeling awesome and back to work! Started the day off with a keto breakfast consisting of one sausage, scrambled eggs and mushrooms... then... fucked it up at dinner time. I was so close to perfect, eating half a bbq chicken with garlic sauce and some kibbeh (ground beef balls with spices from the Lebanese take away)... great keto fare! But I weakened at the last moment and had some instant ramen.

Still no morning weigh in, cowardly stuff.

Well, the good news is I ate very, very well today. I was still stuffed from heavy dinner, so I skipped breakfast and only had a light lunch. Work was physical, hauling kegs and such... after work I had a container of chicken curry without rice, and a quarter chicken. Loaded with protein and no carbs.
And I tried something new with the yoghurt obsession... Instead of the massive tub of flavoured yoghurt that's loaded with sugar, I bought a container of plain, unsweetened yoghurt and added a punnet each of raspberries and blueberries. Less than half the fat and about a third of the carbs (less in fact), and about the same serving size! Not as sweet, but refreshing and flavoursome all the same!

I ate a bit heavily for late in the day, so it downgrades from a 3 to a 2.

No exercise. Gonna have to get that started before I'm halfway through the damn month!

Skipped breakfast, then had some pulled beef with cheese and avocado for lunch, and some chicken wings for dinner. Great eating, but for a lack of leafy greens. But baby steps...
Another great win was that I managed to finally exercise tonight, banging out 5 rounds on the rower followed by some bicep curls and lat raises. I had a big tub of yoghurt and berries in the fridge, but after all the exercise, I didn't even want it! Tomorrow.

Hey, improvement!
Had a toasted BLT for breakfast, the same pulled beef for lunch, then after work basically flopped around. I kept putting off eating my yoghurt and berries until after I'd exercised, but never seemed to get around to exercising. Finally, just ate the yoghurt and berries as just knowing they were there was distracting me. Probably won't buy those again tomorrow, healthy as they might be.

Same sandwich for breakfast, then some pulled beef for lunch... after work I grabbed some chicken from the Indian take away... a few pieces of tandoori and some wings as well, and only ate about half of it... I weakened and had a half-sized packet of instant ramen, worth about 34g of carbs, so far from a heinous infraction. Still worth a point loss though.

A day off, and I ate like a bit of a dickhead, sadly. No burgers and fries like previous transgressions, but just entirely too much food.
I had a Vietnamese pork roll at about 2pm, which was actually breakfast, along with a massive tub of unsweetened yoghurt with blueberries and raspberries. At night I had a big bag of crisps and two bowls of instant ramen, then another tub of dairy free yoghurt (half litre), which is very low in fat and sugar, but late at night.

Did some minor exercise to bring back the negative point, some shoulder flyes, front raises and curls.

Ate slightly better today, having a chicken flatbread roll and four kibbeh for lunch. Followed up with a smaller-sized packet of instant ramen (about 36g carbs) and some dairy-free yoghurt with berries at dinner time. No exercise.

Well, back to work and enacted a new habit: walking to work. Something I did in 2016 and 2017, and now, out of necessity (not wanting to be in a big tube with coughers and sneezers) am doing it again. It's 8.5km each way and takes me about an hour and 50 minutes... It was pissing down most of the day so today I wore my steel-toe boots so I could have dry socks...
First and last time. On the way to work it was fine, all day at work it was fine... about half an hour to go on the way home the things felt like they were made of lead, and my knee started to ache.
On the upside, I feel the workout in my thighs and glutes... I'm giving myself a workout point for each walk!
Had a keto breakfast of scrambled eggs, mushroom and sausages, had a kebab box (with doner, chicken and salad) with no bread for dinner, then some dairy free yoghurt and Raspberries.

I've got a load of updates to put up. Need to do it daily. Been a white time of it mentally so not got round to it. Health wise the drive is well on its way and I'm feeling the benefits for it. Actually feel super healthy right now and I know I've o my just scratched the surface of what I'm capable of achieving. Looks wise it's doing me a world of good too. Went away round the time I just started on our little program and felt ok about how I looked. Went out again Saturday and would have fucked myself given half the change.

Hopefully post some updates later, find it awkward on the phone so will need to get on the laptop.

Well fuck that. Obviously from the loose conduce of the weekend, but not what I wanted to see after a 5 point day!
Walked to work again, and ate a BLT for breakfast from the cafe next door, before a physical work day... ate some pulled beef with avo and (not at my request) some extra cheese for lunch, before the big walk home... I ate five pieces of salmon nigiri on the way home, which would have been fine... but then I weakened and got a flatbread chicken roll and two kibbeh... Bit of a slip up, sadly... That's a zero-pointer. Probably the best kind of zero-pointer as none of my choices were woefully unhealthy, but a zero-pointer all the same.

Slept in, a lot... must have been exhausted from the walks! So I jumped an uber to work and got there in the nick of time.
BLt for breakfast, moderately physical work day... but for lunch I went for a prosciutto and peach salad, which was absolutely delicious... again, five pieces of nigiri on the way home... and probably got a little greedy with the plant based yoghurts, even though they're very low in sugar.

Trending back downward, but MUST NOT screw it up on the weekend this time.
Got on the footpath early today for an 8:15am start, and sampled some crisp, pre-7am air for my walk to work. Had three fresh salmon sushi rolls for breakfast, and it was bloody delicious! Lunch was a super healthy salad with grilled peach, sweet potato, baked ricotta and roquette. Bought a tub of unsweetened yoghurt on the way home and added some passionfruit pulp. Great day all up. Two big walks, three healthy meals with a low carb intake.

Great day for you there.

I've got my phone with me to post the notes I made for the past period. Can't handle doing it easy straight from my phone so been waiting to get on the family laptop. Wife has needing it for her working from home stuff.

Think I'll be writing off most of this 14 days. Diet wise I've got a load of good stuff in apart from enough straight up protein, we stocked the freezer which meant fish fingers, pizza and breaded chicken. I mean its the type of stuff that keeps you going and makes you feel good, but damn it ain't for no training regime. So far I've avoided bread and crisps, but due to a birthday in the family we've a shit load of chocolate. That will zonk anything I try doing to stay reasonable too. First couple of days I made great healthy meals, chicken breast and salad. Unfortunately Ferrero Rochers.

Fitness wise I'm not feeling up to doing much. I did some resistance training again, not enough to even get a 1 point day though.
