Everytime this thread pops up I think of this guy:

Nothing like a perfectly executed left hook hitting flush to the head. One of my favorite punches, followed closely by a left hook to the liver. The delayed reaction to a liver shot is a thing of beauty---standing after the punch for a second or two then the legs just go and down to the canvas they crumble.

Completely agree. I never had a great left hook. It was okay. I was more of a straight right kind of guy.

I must be part Mexican because I was told my left hook really stung, especially when doubling up on it with the first to the ribs and the second to the kisser. But, that was eons ago. I still hit the heavy bag from time to time, but have not unloaded on a human in decades, and that is fine with me. The older you get, the longer it takes to heal.
