Democratic challenger to McConnell raises $2.5 million on first day of campaign

Amy McGrath, a Democratic challenger for Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell's (R-Ky.) seat in 2020, raised $2.5 million on the first day of her campaign.
McGrath's campaign told NBC News that more than $1 million came in in the first 5 1/2 hours after the campaign launched on Tuesday.

McGrath campaign manager Mark Nickolas told NBC News that the $2.5 million haul came from online donations, with the average contribution being $36.15.

Nickolas said that the amount raised was the largest for the first 24 hours of a Senate campaign.
McGrath, who previously lost a congressional a bid in 2018, announced her candidacy for the Senate in a three-minute campaign video.
She was one of the most closely watched Democratic House contenders in the 2018 midterm elections, narrowly losing her race to incumbent Rep. Andy Barr (R) in Kentucky's 6th Congressional District.
I thought you said raising large sums quickly was worrisome and suspicious? :think:conf

Nah i just think its funny you call Trump anti-establishment when hes having pedo parties and billionaires donate to his campaign.
It's even funnier that a political novice wrecked every establishment politician put in his path. Along with the establishments talking heads in the MSM, and is still doing it, and you still don't get it.

Why would Bill feel the need to ditch his secret service minders when he goes to the island?
Ditched them at least 5 times. He had some private business to take care of. The cool part is that those secret service agents will eventually talk, and then there is the problem of the flight logs.

The midterms are usually a good indicator of a presidents popularity and the Republicans got slaughtered. Trump has some of the lowest approval ratings of a sitting president. Ive never seen a president so reviled in my lifetime, even Bush wasnt as despised. Maybe youd have to go back to Nixon during watergate.

Primarily the reason Trump won last time was low voter turnout. Trump actually got less votes than Mitt Romney but because of apathy and general disgust with the democratic party for nominating Hillary most stayed home or switched their votes to Trump. However while the last election was anyone but Hillary this election is anyone but Hillary.

However in Trumps the economy is doing well now but most Americans are better economically educated than say 2001 so we know a crash is coming. Trump can ride that a little bit but not as well as he should be able to.

Also there is a civil war brewing between the neoliberals third way dems of the Clinton era and the new generation of social dems and democratic socialist. 3 of the dem candidates, Tusli, Warren and Bernie would fit into these. Either ome of the 3 would massacre Trump in the general.

However even if the Dems do something dumb and elect creepy Joe Biden which is joe rogan voice entirely possible, Trump will have a real shot. However ultimately Trump has been so disgusting he has virtually torpedoed any good will amongst the sane American electorate, even with all the scandals nothing has been more damaging to his chances than his own demeanor.
I agree with a lot of that and thanks for your reply. But I could easily be wrong but I think Sanders has as much chance as Corbyn has over here. Biden got somewhat savaged in the debate. Hope Im wrong but unless something happens, which it well could given the time left, I still think Trump gets it. I hope something happens to his chickenhawk colleague Bolton between now and next year though.

The midterm slaughter was due to republican posturing. RINOs who wouldn't act got punished. The house republicans in particular. Ineffective, grandstanding and posturing when the people elected Trump to fix these issues.

That won't be what you're looking for in the 2020 general.
Presidential cycles are also different than off year elections. This time around Republicans will know better then to run on an anti Trump platform.

Show dem balls bro

And why the apologist stance from the US media?

{video blocked}

Okay so I'm not allowed to embed a world story. Nice.

Dangerous game that's being played. I'll sit on the sidelines and watch all of you destroy yourselves in the name of righteousness. After the war in heaven there were only a few left, and they were dealt with accordingly.

We're all pawns in the hate game now.
