Trump really really needs to avoids going down the road of declaring a national emergency in order to allocate funding. The people encouraging him to do this are the same people who will be screaming when the Democrats attempt it for something they don't like.

The national emergency was a ruse to flush out the Democrats and solidify their opposition to any solution on the the Southern border. Looking forward to 2020. Trump can order the funds needed to be spent at anytime. By simply taking funds needed out any current spending bill.

'Straya, cunt.
It utterly blows my mind
Would take very, very little, simp.

His combination of rock stupid, arrogant cunt and bitchmade is fascinating to me. How can someone be so fucking stupid, and so smug about it like being stupid and easily conned is a good thing? What's the appeal of coming off like such a bitter, confused retard?
Project much, ‘tard? It’s like you’re talking to yourself Ina mirror.

easy, every mexican crossing pays 50 bucks until its paid for
Well according to fox news;
https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/tru...ill-actually-cost-according-to-a-statistician

Maintenance alone on the wall would cost about $25 billion to build and many others estimate it would be anywhere between $150m and $750m a year to maintain.

So even with 10,000 Mexicans coming in every day at $50 each ($500,000 intake daily) 365 days a year.. you'd only just be taking in enough yearly ($182,500,000) to cover conservative maintenance costs.

Should be alright though.. it'll only take a few 100 years or so for Mexico to make a dent in the costs.

where do you get this 10,000 per day figure? This is just one border point and according to wiki its more like 75k per day assuming the lowest 1 person per vehicle.

Tijuana-San Ysidro Border

San Ysidro Port of Entry through vehicle.

The Mexico–United States border is the world's most transited border.[13] The San Ysidro Port of Entry is located between San Ysidro, California and Tijuana, Baja California. Approximately 50,000 vehicles and 25,000 pedestrians use this entry daily.[14] Due to business of this entry port, it has influenced the every day life-style of people that live in these border towns.[15]

I'm not so sure that the case. I think he could very well go the national emergency route, probably using 10 US code 2808.

This will then get challenged and taking to court where it will be defeated and Trump will then reopen the government while bashing the Democrats and the courts.

Obviously I could be very wrong with this but that's how I see it going.

Thus setting a very bad precedent that will eventually bite Republicans in the ass.

Trump has effectively forced the Democrats to own the border issue. By forcing the issue of The Wall via a threat of a declaration of a national emergency, and having the two most prominent Democrats give an immediate televised rebuttal in opposition. Demonstrating that he believes that the situation at the border is grave and something needs to be done, offered a solution, and that Democrats simply want to obstruct and offer nothing of substance in return. That's the message. That's politics, and that's what this is about.
