***UFC!*** The Authentic Official Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya Undefeated, Undisputed Middleweight Champion / General MMA Thread

Who do you WANT to win? (Not who do you think WILL win)

  • I want the Fighting Irish to win

  • I want the 209 to represent again

  • I just want a good, action-packed fight like the last one

  • Test to see if I can change the poll?

  • Are these options 4 and 5?

Bookies are pricing this fight like a 75%-25% in favour of McGregor.

I just cant buy that. It's close to a 50-50 fight for me all things being told. I'll give McGregor an edge on the basis of him rising to the big occasion in the past. So 55-45.

But, I will be putting money on Cowboy, and actually dont really care who wins. I like both guys and would be happy for both to win.
You might get better odds in the US though, it’s probably closer to a 50/50 out there.

I don't know how that 75%-25% thing works.

But down under the bookies have it as $1.35 for Conor and $3.15 for Cowboy.

Conor a big favourite. $1.35 is pretty good for a favourite though

As much as Conor can be a chode... I always seem to find myself flipping back to being a fan of his when he does these kind of interviews.
For all his bullshit he has the gift of the gab and talks the talk well

Conor is a leg kick annihilation in the waiting, one of his future losses will be because of leg kicks, can Cowboy be the guy to do it?
Agreed, but dont think Cowboy is the guy to do it.

Cowboy should definitely soften those legs up early though.

I also feel McGregor is open to a head kick, especially when he gets tired. Usually the last punch of a 2 or 3 punch combo is a straight left , fully committed, head ducked down to the right a little. If cowboy can stand his ground in the exchanges without getting properly clocked and get off that last head kick, it could be trouble for McGregor. But he'd have to kick with his left, and I think he's better on the other side.

I've never really gotten it. I find him obnoxious to listen to, but I know people love him.

Yeah I get that at times as well. But I find myself coming back into being a fan of him in solo interviews like this where he talks openly without carrying on. Of course he is full of overconfidence as any top level guy is but he mostly comes off well in these type of interviews in my opinion.

On the flip of that though, then I see him go back to his normal obnoxious D bag antics and then I just want him to lose again.

Love him or hate him though, He's definitely a great character to have around.

I think I'm just more of a Chael Sonnen type of guy. McGregor is someone I couldn't see myself hanging out with.

Whittaker out of his fight with Cannonier. "Undisclosed personal reasons."

“Apologies to all my friends and supporters, but unfortunately I won’t be competing at the UFC 248 fight card,” read Whittaker’s statement.

“There are a few other things going on in my life that I need to give priority to and sort out, so I have had to change my plans. But I’ll be back soon bigger and better than ever. Sorry Jared...I’ll see you down the track.”

Wonder what that is. Hope he's okay.

Conor is going overboard with the respect here, let atleast some of your arrogance show. I love the way he fights but he’s a cunt through and through, no doubt in my mind the bloke just isn’t a nice guy, hope Cowboy head kick KOs him.

Adesanya-Romero confirmed for UFC248, March 7.

“No one asked to fight Yoel,” Adesanya said. “I said I want to fight the baddest motherfucker in there. So we called him out even though he’s on a two-fight losing streak. He’s lost three of his last four.

“For the stark, it’s not just not good for business. I’m a charitable guy and I think he’s a beast. Regardless of records. Fuck records. He’s a bad motherfucker.”

Thoughts?

He’s right, Yoel is a bad mother fucker, and all of his recent losses were close decisions, he’s one of the most dangerous fighters in the division still.

He might fuck Adesanya uuuuuup. If he committed to wrestling someone to death, I think he could win this fight fairly comfortably. He doesn't do that though, so he's might be caught on the end of a jab all night.

Don't think he has the gas tank to wrestle him all fight.
