***UFC!*** The Authentic Official Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya Undefeated, Undisputed Middleweight Champion / General MMA Thread

Who do you WANT to win? (Not who do you think WILL win)

  • I want the Fighting Irish to win

  • I want the 209 to represent again

  • I just want a good, action-packed fight like the last one

  • Test to see if I can change the poll?

  • Are these options 4 and 5?

Someone made a compilation of Watterson throwing kicks and punches at the air 1-2 feet in front of her opponent, and titled it "Michelle Watterson vs the Ghosts of the Octagon."

Another deleted tweet from Conor. He is having a hard time and I hope the best for him. Conor has said some nasty things about other fighters and even Khabib's wife. He is going to have to drop the tough guy act because overall he is miserable inside.

Yep sounds like he is not having a great time.

He has to pay the piper, IMO. His entire life for several years now has been all about pure ego and sensory stimulation. His persona now bears no resemblance to the cocky/humble working class guy who was living an incredible dream, was grateful for it, and was working his ass off and backing up all his words with actions. The guy that people responded to and could live vicariously through.

Now what's he been doing the last couple of years of his athletic prime?

Acting the cunt. Fucking any random drug-fuelled skank and cheating on the mother of his kids, who loved him when he was an unemployed broke nobody loser with nothing but a head full of insane, impossible dreams. Being estranged from his long term coach, who's been with him from the start and guided him to heights that no other fighter has ever reached. Hanging out with nothing but drunk assholes and sycophants. Talking shit on everybody on twitter, but pissing away his in-cage prime because all roads immediately lead to Khabib, and he can't face that man after feeling the power of the smesh last time.

He's completely out of balance and unmoored. He's lost his focus and his sense of what's important, as he slowly completely became the character he was originally just portraying as a gimmick. Is it any wonder he's depressed?

Eugene Bareman says that the City Kickboxing team is cool with Dan Hooker fighting Tony Ferguson in November, since it looks like the UFC can't come to terms with Poirier.

I can’t believe they’re struggling to get Poirier and Ferguson done. They’re both normally game as fuck.

Poirier wants the $$$. And to be honest, I can't see that guy being a massive diva and asking for a paycheck completely out of line with the value that he brings, especially considering the work he's put in with the company. Every real MMA fan gets hyped for a Poirier fight and respects the shit out of the guy.

Dunno if what I'm remembering is real or not, but I think they offered him like 400k or something, which is less that I imagine he feels he's worth for a potential barn burner

So Michael Chandler has signed with the UFC and will serve as the 'official' replacement for the Gaethje Vs Khabib fight at 254.

If it was to happen that is a hell of jump up in competition going from Bendo to those 2 is definitely being thrown in at the deep end
He's been saying he can do it. At this point in his career, he either can beat those guys or he can't. Stepping up through the top 10 won't do much for him. He is the fighter that he's going to be. I also have the feeling that he needs to jump straight in...or being around those USADA people might see him be a lil less jacked.

Yeah I agree and kudos for him wanting to swim with the sharks from the get go instead of fighting fringe Top 10 fighters.

I'm imaging he will fight Tony if neither drop out

UFC stating that Poirier and Chandler couldn't come to terms for a fight. That's interesting and confusing. Is Poirier asking for a specific amount of money, or did they not want to be fighting each other? I really want to know this one.

Edit: apparently Yes, Poirier had an issue with the money, but he also wanted to show loyalty to Ferguson who stuck up for him, and didn't want to take a fight that wasn't Ferguson, leaving Ferguson out there without a fight. Not after Ferguson had his back.

That’s very sweet, but the best way to show loyalty would have been to actually fight Ferguson and make them both loads of money on an absolutely epic PPV main event.
