Problem with the playing a character thing... it's 9 times out 10 the only part I see of him. Adesanya, Conor etc....Izzy is obviously playing a character on TV, and he seems like a genuinely nice dude. Conor was also playing a character, but he lives out that character, and his drug and alcohol problems present themselves regularly. He also has a very weird little man syndrome.
Like for example Anthony Mundine (you guys probs dont know him but he was a big deal in Aussie boxing for many years) he is usually an arrogant, dopey moron in front of the cameras but behind the scenes away form the spotlight dude was a great person. very humble, super genuine and always helping local indigenous kids etc..
Problem is if all your public in front of the camera things is you being an over the top dickhead then it's not hard to understand why some people may dislike you. None of us ever really get to see the behind the scenes version of them
