***UFC!*** The Authentic Official Israel "The Last Stylebender" Adesanya Undefeated, Undisputed Middleweight Champion / General MMA Thread

  • CHB will be closing down as of 31st July 2021. It's been a brilliant experience to run the website for the past 9 years, however it's time for me to move onto different projects. Thanks to every single person involved, from staff, former staff, posters old and current. All support means more than anyone knows. Thanks for your understanding.

Who do you WANT to win? (Not who do you think WILL win)

  • I want the Fighting Irish to win

  • I want the 209 to represent again

  • I just want a good, action-packed fight like the last one

  • Test to see if I can change the poll?

  • Are these options 4 and 5?

Yeah, exactly. Just so likeable in and outside of the cage. Even had the balls to accept the Khabib fight ffs.
And he's genuinely humble and respectful in both victory and defeat. Just seems like exactly the type of guy you'd want to either win the title from, or have take it off you. What kind of asshole would sign a contract to fight Holloway and then try to start beef with him? What's your approach? He's a class act in and out of the cage.

business aproach.

not good but what it is.

the difference between what boxers and mma fighters earn is insane, and they draw pretty similar numbers.

The UFC has it's fighters by the balls. I believe Bellator pays it's fighters more. It would take a collective strike from the champs and money makers for the pay to change. Nothing changes if the fighters don't come together. Also the sport has only been around for 30 years.

Even with the right pay Mixed Martial Artist won't avoid each other and bluff like boxers do. It's the #1 combat sport imho and they should be paid right!
even if they do, in the last decade we got damn near every boxing match we wanted. fair enough the late 90's/early 2000's disapointed, but end of the day eveyone saw the money left on the table and learned from it.

Anyone else think that Vettori is going to give Adesanya a much tougher fight than most people expect?

I quite like Vettori, the hotheaded little bastard. He's physically strong and pretty relentless in the cage, seems mentally strong, and he looks to have improved a lot in the last couple of years. The guy who lost to Adesanya the first time round (and people forget that it was a very competitive SD) wasn't going to be bullying Jack Hermansson all over the cage for five rounds. :thumbsup

I can’t see it coming off if Chandler’s never been subbed, but it was my initial thoughts so I have to put it on now or I’d have the hump if it happened.

Chandler's never been subbed, but he'll dive in headfirst for the takedown and Oliviera's guillotine is quick and sneaky as fuck. Not at all out of the realm of possibility for him to just latch onto Chandler's neck and choke him out Werdum-Cain style, IMO.

Just done a double. Oliveira submission and a Dariush win. £31 on for £100 back.
ok odds. i'm not gonna look it up but seems like ur against 2 close fav's.

i get mad when talking heads say they would bet on the massive fav.. are they paid by the bookies or just stupid cunts?

bet agaist the favourite. well, that's when betfair was a real market, the juice the booky companies take is impossible to beat. on what betfair became; their homepage is a bookie and the margianalised market is mostly their money fucking you, other markets just don't have the money going through to make it real.

maybe i got off topic, just make single bets when you really know who will win, coz the opportuinity to beat the odds is gone, you can't do it.

learn the stock market.

It’s not really an investment technique mate, I’m just throwing £30 at it to make the card more interesting.

All four fighters involved are very good, otherwise the fights wouldn’t be happening.

if you need to give money to big business to make fights interesting? i plain don't understand., fight's happening whatever you do. why do you need to give money to a billion £$£$££$£ business to enjoy a fight? sounds like you are a dumbass bitch mark.
