I wonder what happened to all the Boeing fan boys calling Airbus for Deathbus? Also deregulation = death and economical chaos. The financial crisis of 2007–2008, Boeing's 737 MAX crisis and the Texas power grid freeze, all examples of totally preventable disasters that would have been avoided with proper oversight and proper consequences for the offending companies. In most cases the tax payers even had to bail out these scumbags so there simply isn't an incentive for them to regulate themselves properly.

The Republican Right in this country have managed to convince the public that any kind of government oversight is socialism.

Texas disconnected from that national grid to "reduce cost". Refused to implement measures that would have prevented the Wind Turbines from freezing....again to reduce cost.

Some folks in Texas a now getting gas and electric bill in the upwards of 10s of 1000s of Dollars for a few days of energy usage.

Meanwhile their representative dipped out of the state with his family to Mexico.

If not for kindness of neighboring states diverting some of their power to Texas (socialism) things would have been worse than it is.

What does this have to do with these crappy engines? The uk have banned them over our airpace.
About Texas....If they have their own generators they would be fine.

I'm not big on flying in the first place having only been on a plane to travel 3 times in my 68 years. Now, if I was on that flight and saw that, I doubt I'd ever get on another plane.

You're 19× saver in a Plane than in car.
And the number of people that are in their cars daily are exponentially more than the number of people on flights daily------so what's your point????

If I'm in my car and have a fatal accident, it may cost the lives of just me, or a few people. If a plane goes down, that's hundreds of people.

Oh also, the word you were looking for is "safer" not saver. The grammar police have spoken.

My point?

My point is that on a plane you're safer than you're when compared to car.

And no, I won't get off your lawn.
