I’ve got 500 Ripples and 1,666 Zilliqa, and they’re both worth about 50% of what I paid for them.

I dunno why I’m asking in here because it was you excitable cunts who convinced me to lose all the cash in the first place, but is there any hope of a comeback?

I’m not planning on selling, because that’s a guaranteed loss, I just want to know if the market’s likely to do anything decent in the next year or so.

Your ripple will be worth around $2500 end of the year. How much did you pay for them? But the massive and big gains have already been made. already gone like x500+
Zillqia a good buy right now, But I guess you bought at 400-500 Million marketcap so once again you wont see much gains compared to the lower caps. But its a great project

But you will make money, Just be patience.

I paid £1.79 per Ripple. What makes you so confident? You were confident it wouldn’t halve in price, too.

Yeah that’s a possible but I’ll keep them rather than sell, the money’s spent now.
Fair enough. Zilliqa is up and down like a tarts knickers, you should be able to trade your way back to break even on that without too much effort.

Its a top 3 coin, its actually getting used by banks, Korea will use it in shops, Its one of the biggest brands in cyrpto. Crypto will go over a trillion marketcap this year in my opinion, And ripple will get a big % of that market. At $1.79.... you wont get much gains. Maybe a x3 at best. Why did you buy it so high? where was i confident it wouldn’t halve?

It was £1.79, not $1.79.

I know it’s being used by banks, but I’m yet to see a correlation between usefulness and coin value in any of these cryptos.

Sell it all for TRX then get a lambo attached to a rocket, like a Tesla only cooler, and meet me on the moon.

Know what's cool about the moon? Doing keepy ups is like doing them on Earth with a balloon. That's fuckin cool, imho.

If you bought at GBP1.79 than you're down about 75% it seems? You haven't bought at the absolute top though.

Ripple (like most altcoins) is at its all time low after that parabolic move from last year. Good news is that another parabolic move is on the way this year when money starts flowing in. Even if it'll never reach its previous all time high again there is still a high chance it'll easily go up at least 100% from here. So holding is an option.

@DomB is messing with you but selling now to redirect you funds to another coin to recoup your losses faster is an option if you don't believe in Ripple. Many altcoins are about to explode and some already have such as GVT and PRL. Litecoin is very very strong as well.

Third, if you do believe in Ripple and this market and decide to hold you could add a little more (say 5% -10% of your total investment) to your stack to lower you average buy price. As Ripple is so low now you'll lower your ABP considerably and will go back in the green faster when it goes up. Remember it only takes a little for these coins to go up 50%.

Your money, your call.

Who says I'm messing with him? I'd say selling now, while painful, is perfectly logical. This is going to get much worse. Talk of ripple hitting $5 this year is laughable imo. It's more likely to hit 5 cents.

.
RIpple is nowhere near it's all time low...it spent 4 years under a cent.

Dunno where you're getting the rest from...absolutely zero evidence the bubble will re-inflate imo.

It's logical if you don't believe in this market short term and long term, which is up to him I think. You're saying this year will be the absolute permanent end/death of cryptocurrencies without ever recovering?

It's sitting pretty low, let's leave it at that.

Your opinion vs my opinion. This thread is about what Rakim thinks and his opinion. It's his money.

Aye but he's asking for opinions and when I gave him mine you said I didn't mean it!

"Recovery" implies some natural high price we've fallen from...I'm still waiting to see a reasonable justification for any crypto price.

Ripple is only "pretty low" compared to it's peak inflated bubble price. It's still staggeringly high compared to it's opening price. That's not a trivial point.

Maybe ripple will be a massive success and it's natural stable price will be 3 cents.

Anyway he asked if there's any hope of a 'recovery' in the next year or so...very unlikely imo. 90% of all alts will effectively die....allright they won't go to zero because there will always be someone willing to HODL! Bitcoin still has a way to fall for me...then a period of stagnation to allow time to heal the wounds before a fresh round of speculation can begin. But hey I'm just another guesser.:thumbsup

Basically, nobody knows and if I sell that’s a guaranteed loss, so I’m better off holding and seeing what it does.

Lol of course nobody knows. We'd be fucking rich if we did.

If you sell now sure it's a guaranteed loss, if you HODL you might lose more.

Only you can decide.

I'd be tempted to trade your ALTs for bitcoin and tether up right now during this fakeout. Buy back in when bitcoin hits the 4/5/6k area. Rinse and repeat until you're in the green. But that's just me.

Ain't as easy as it sounds obvs
