He wouldn’t have had to travel to Bulgaria if he wanted that fight with Sky backing they’d have easily won the purse bid
Matchroom bid and lost, by some margin. He also was tied to a 70/25 split in favour of pulev so why would sky or matchroom want to pay over he odds to bring him here for a fight that probably wouldn't sell too well. I'm sure there are wiser people than the few blokes chatting on this board making business decisions for multimillion pound organisations such as matchroom and sky.

So what if he has to go to away for the fight, Chisora went all over the place when he was coming through in the pros, fought Helanius in Finland, fought Klit in Germany, fought Pulev away as well. The more I think about it, Whyte is a fucking Diva and Matchroom are to blame.

Just answer this. Do you think he has credible names on his resume to warrant a title shot and what do you think in comparison to the other contenders opposition in the division?
I do think Dillian is a credible title challenger (for his win over Parker, not Browne or Chisora) but that’s not really the issue.

He was offered 2 eliminators which he & his promoter rejected in favour of easier PPV cash grabs. Whyte has made his bed and now he’s gotta sleep in it.

Whyte is your classic Matchroom self entitled fighter who thinks they can’t just talk their way into title positions. He was demanding a mandatory position after beating Helanius ffs...

“He’s a good fighter, but no one knows who he is,” Whyte said of Oleksander Usyk.

“He speaks no English. What I’m saying is he’s not really a big fight for me. The hardcore boxing fans will watch Whyte vs. Usyk, but imagine trying to sell Usyk-Whyte to the general public.”

“There’s five possible fighters out there for me - Joshua, Tyson Fury, Miller, Breazeale and Wilder ,” Whyte said.

Yeah because Dominic Breazeale is the guy on everyone's lips

It's called making calculated decisions and he made a wise one. Whyte isn't a diva in the slightest, he's just not a fucking idiot. Why go to some far flung corner of the world where you are gonna get shafted financially and possibly in the ring too when you don't have to?

That’s all well & good then if money’s more important than a title shot but then he shouldn’t ever be complaining he’s not had a title shot

Of course making wise financial decisions has a big part, it's a short career and he needs to maximize his earning potential. What I'm saying is he's been nobbed around by governing bodies so the word of an eliminator doesn't mean much. If he didn't take tough fights I'd say he shouldn't get a chance but he has taken tough ones.much tougher than his peers

Dunno mate, don't like him.

Made up the words to the Welsh Anthem before Calazaghe Hopkins in Vegas rather than just learning them.
I didn't know that Grant. Could you elaborate. But that reminded me of the guy,Tory MP, who was minister for Wales and when they sang it just opened and closed his mouth with nothing coming out. PRETENDED to know the words. And then they wonder why we think they're con men.
As for Tom,Ive liked him better as the years have gone on. Got up to sing on The Voice Saturday with hardly any accompaniment and sang well. Not bad for a near 80 year old.

He made a calculated decision not to take the eliminators so he can’t complain now if a title shot is not forthcoming. It’s not what you deserve, it’s what you negotiate that matters. No one deserves anything, you’ve got to make it happen

Agree with this. It is a short career and Dillian has to make the right decisions financially and career wise each step of the way. He has done just that this far.
after all the effort hes put in he would be mad to fight usyk as he would probably lose. people on here acting outraged because boxers are sensibly managing these key moments in their career is hilarious.

we have a good little era of heavys on the cards, with aj, wilder, fury and usyk all in or approaching their primes. i reckon aj wilder is going to happen sooner rather than later.....
