He has to start somewhere in the HW division though. Going straight for Joshua or Wilder isn't going to happen. Takam is a name, with names (wins and losses) on his CV which help the cause of Usyk.Still, Usyk isn't someone that needs 'protecting' -- even if it is his heavyweight debut.
I'd be disappointed if they went with Takam.
Not sure what Usyk gains from it.I would have thought Takam would be a good first up for Usyk at heavyweight.
Who do you have in mind? Not sure what Usyk gains from it.
Takam isn't much bigger than guys at CW, has no power and has been soundly beaten by every decent fighter he's fought.
I'd like to see someone who presents some sort of stylistic threat to Usyk to actually prepare him for the division.
This sport is starting to get shitty again, Wilder vs Fury II is off due to politics, we get AJ vs Miller, Andrade vs Saunders isnt happening neither is GGG vs Andrade next, Thurman's not going to fight Spence until 2020 and Arum won't let Crawford fight anyone from PBC, Usyk fighting a HW that is smaller than a CW which makes no sense
