from LA for the WBA and WBO Lightweight Titles.
Does Crolla have a prayer?
No. Absolutely appalling fight from Loma and his team. Farcical and he's pissing away his prime. Crolla loses every round, before being stopped in about the 9th after taking such a beating that either the towel comes in or he retires on his stool.

ran into crolla yesterday as I was driving home, Had a little chat and he seemed in great spirits.

hes a good lad and I hope he pulls it off this weekend.

Not a hope, Theirs levels to this sport and Crolla is several below Lomachenko, Look i like Crolla but let's be honest he was never a genuine world class fight despite wining a world title, Loma is the elite of the elite if Crolla wins 2 rounds i'd be surprised.

Crolla will come in with that high guard and get pummeled. As mentioned several times, I'd be impressed if he won a round. I think this is a step back from Pedraza. I mean who is Crolla's best win, Barroso or Burns?

Could Crolla pull off an upset
No.
and if so, where would it rank? Up there with Douglas vs Tyson?
Greater for me. Heavyweights have one shot power in most cases that can change a fight and create an upset. Tyson has been the distance with inferior fighters before and he'd had his knees dipped by a left hook from Bruno. It was a MASSIVE upset, and for sure one of the biggest ever, but with heavies...that shit can sometimes happen. Crolla is not a puncher. Loma has never looked hurt anyway, even when dropped by Linares who is a decent puncher. So Crolla needs to outpoint Loma over 12 rounds.

It's a terrible, pathetic, pointless fight that is pissing valuable time away for Loma to really build a record that stands the test of time. It's such a foregone conclusion that I can't even get interested in the idea of watching it, and I love watching Loma work. But Crolla's entire style, fight history and skillset is made for Loma to dominate with horrible ease.

Crolla has no chance. None. I am rarely that dogmatic on boxing, but this is just a dreadful mismatch in every possible way. If I am wrong, then I'll never make a confident prediction for a fight again. The only way Crolla wins is if Loma slips and rips his ACL and has to fight on one leg, leaning against the ropes...and if that happens, chances are that Loma wins a close one.

It is a step back. It's a diabolical bout. And I say that as a Manc who likes Crolla, cheered him on in his world title fights and was really pleased for him when he won a title.

how much do we think crollas getting paid for this? seven figures?
Loma's purse for his last fight was $1m, and you wouldn't expect it to change much from that for this one. Considering the purse bid would have been a 75-25 split (a deal was agreed before it reached that stage), I'd expect Crolla's to be earning anything from $300-500k (before sponsors, TV rights etc.).

$500k would leave him with anout 300k after us taxes et. not a bad way to end a career.

Not a lot of people giving Crolla much chance on Saturday morning (UK Time) however, not many gave Honeyghan a chance when he went to the US to take on P4P No1 Don Curry in 1986.
