When you have to start promoting a robe, you know the fight isn't any good

That will probably be the most interesting thing about this fight, Eddie has been shooting his mouth of about how the fight hasn't sold in the US and that it would have been a huge draw in the UK. It didn't sell in the US Eddie because it's a fucking mismatch and people don't know or care about Anthony Crolla over there. I suppose if it was here at home they would have been babbling on about Anthony Crollas story and how he's going to shock the world and mugs and casuals would have bought into it.

That shit don't fly in the states Edward.

I also think fans would in the UK would go simply to see Lomachenko in action. So, yeah, Eddie's probably right about the fight selling better over here in terms of ticket sales, but that's not taking into account TV money... And if Eddie thought it was worth it, he'd have let the fight go to purse bids or produce a better offer than what Uncle Bob gave him.

Loma's purse for his last fight was $1m, and you wouldn't expect it to change much from that for this one. Considering the purse bid would have been a 75-25 split (a deal was agreed before it reached that stage), I'd expect Crolla's to be earning anything from $300-500k (before sponsors, TV rights etc.).
I'm sure I heard or read Eddie saying Crolla's gonna earn 7 figures. I think Bob overpaid Crolla because Eddie may have bid high and got Loma fighting on DAZN, Bob couldn't risk letting one of his stars fight on a rival network.

I think Bob will get his own back when the AJ-Pulev purse bid comes around.

Fair play if he's getting that much. That's a massive purse for a challenger in a fight he's expected to lose.

Eddie did something similar with Galahad in scaring Frank into over bidding. Frank couldn't let Warrington fight on SKY and on Matchroom and so overpaid.

This show starts over here at 3am. Loma-Crolla ring walks at 4:30am.

They might only show Zurdo Ramirez vs Tommy Karpency from the undercard, which would be a shame. I'll have to try and find a stream for Alexander Besputin's fight.

I hate watching boxing on sky, they will start off saying what an upset it would be if he won, then when they realise he has no chance they will start saying hes a warrior and put up a great effort for the rest of the one sided rounds
Thats pretty much exactly what happened... The greatest non-effort since Paul Smith fought Andre Ward.

That was described in the same manner by Sky.

That was a nonsense, so now we need to wait till Sept for the next Loma fight, he's basically just wasted a year of his career with this pointless fight. No offence to Crolla, it's just levels.
