Am I crazy for thinking Campbell has a decent chance of upsetting Loma?
I think that Luke could very well pull it off if he can establish an incessant jab from the outset & try to put Lomachenko on the back foot. Luke has often started off tentatively in the past, much to his detriment. He can't afford to feel the quicker Loma out; he has to use his significant reach advantage to dictate the pace & the rhythm of the fight from the get go. Easier said than done of course, but Luke is no mug. Love to see him do it.

Campbell just doesn’t move his head enough, he’s got that typical tall southpaw stance, Loma is gonna chew him up.

Wherever I want really, I want to go to the weigh-in on Friday so being within 30 minutes tube journey of the 02 would be handy (guessing that’s where the weigh-in will be) but beyond that I’m pretty free to go where I want. The only other thing I’ve thought about is decking out some of the war history museums but that’s Day time activity.
A few stops on Jubilee Line and you have Stratford. Short walk past the London Stadium and Copperbox is Hackney Wick, some decent bars around there overlooking the canal.

Probably a good point - he is rather stiff-ish.

Not predicting a Campbell win but think he’ll be very competitive & either get stopped late or lost an 8-4, 9-3 type decision.

I don’t see this as the mis-match some do & certainly give Campbell a better chance than some of our other underdogs against pound for pound fighters like Brook - Golovkin & Bellew - Usyk.

He’s a very good fighter is Campbell. Convinced he would’ve won a Linares rematch wide. Going in to that with the death of his father just before & getting caught early messed his up. He’d worked Linares out by the half way point & pretty much swept the second half of that fight.

Cheers mate, I’m generally happy with a few beers and either a view and some sports on the tv so will look into that.

Are we expecting the weigh-in to be at the 02 as well? Really looking forward to it now, and like some on here I’m giving Campbell a chance, albeit a small one. For once it’s not a bad card and im hoping they’ll add a few more competitive fights on the undercard.

Yeah It looks like it will be a good event. I'm not going to be in London until the day of the fight so not sure about the weigh in.

I do feel this will end up a pretty conclusive win for Loma but I really do see him getting beat quite soon but someone we wouldn't expect.

Lightweight surely is his max weight talks of 140 are absurd, people point to Floyd moving through the weights and even packman but they are much denser compact guys then Loma.

People will skate me for this but if Loma boxed Taylor at some point next year I would honestly have a score on Taylor purely due to size.

Go look at any of his fights. His stance is typical of a tall southpaw, still slightly amateur in a way, it’s set for the 1-2 and 2.

His head only moves when he tries to pivot off the front foot and sway back out of range. When he gets it wrong he gets dropped like vs Mendy and Linares.

As you say, it’s kinda stuff. Well maybe not so stiff as a bit “set”.

It’s a shame really as he’d be a world champ vs a LOT of other LWs, but he’s come up against two serious talents in Lima and Linares.

Have to go with Loma but Gervonta may get him at the right time.

We don't know how good Gervonta is to be fair except he's world class at knocking out fringe contenders.
I honestly don’t think we’ve seen half of Loma. He seems legit bored and fucking around in half his fights.

Against Davis you’d imagine he’d be serious as he’d be.

I've been sanguine about Luke's chances, however my optimism is decreasing in direct proportion to the increasing amount of shite he's been talking. Perhaps he's merely trying to build up his confidence, but I imagine he's pissing Lomachenko off. Other than expressing respect for Campbell, Loma has been pretty much silent. A quiet storm may be brewing.

Is anyone actually paying for this shit? Its a mismatch and Hughie Fury is shocking after his performance against Pulev he should pay us to watch him

Luke Campbell said "If I beat Loma ill be as big as Anthony Joshua" everyone should ring for a refund just for him saying that, id say 8 out of 10 people who watch Joshua fight dont even know who Lomachenko is, these PPV mismatches are a joke at least Whyte vs Rivas was decent with 2 evenly matched undercards
