I missed it, but Ortiz has been steamrolling through some pretty tough competition at such an early age. Massa Ortiz, Vargas, Orozco, Solomon, and Herrera. I think he beat them all by KO too. That resume is nothing to sneeze at, guys. This dude is legit as fuck.

I think there is some worry about his punch variation, but he got his man out of there.
Was fun listening to Vargas talk shit all night.

Yeah, the Herrera and Orozco wins were especially impressive, for me.

This kid has super-fast hands, great balance & footwork, plus his extremely aggressive. So much fun to watch.

Interesting point from @DM about his lack of punch variation, though. That's probably true, though he does use nice angles.
I also think he throws a lot of wasted punches, trying to go right through his opponent’s guard. That could eventually cost him, in a 12-round fight against a top-tier opponent.

Well, plenty of time left to develop further. I'm actually surprised at how young he is, given his current scalp-list.

BTW -

Credit to Vargas. Nobody else lasted 7 rounds with Ortiz. Plus Vargas wasn't running. He really took the fight forward. (Which is the smart way to fight a huge puncher, but man that takes balls.)
